You are a great instructor and super fun, with such personality........I just loved the episode with Mom and Grandma. I will definitely be using your products in the future for my custom furniture pieces. I am a retired millwork/ woodworker / finisher of 45 yrs.......
I'd be worried using the metal trowel over those sprayed on effects that I would scratch them off. 🤔 But the simplicity is incredible!! 👏👏 Now, how do you do it in cream and gold with some sheen? Miss your studio background!! 😉
when you are making your countertop wood substrate, how much smaller do you make the wood for two coats of epoxy? in other words, how thick is each coat of epoxy on the edges of the finished countertop?
Bought a couple cans of that marble spray (even found the discontinued teal) and have been waiting for a slow hand hold video from Mitch on how to use it. Thanks as always Mitch!
hey will clearcoat flow & cover properly over a waterfall edge countertop? Also the 4" vertical back of most countertops, can this epoxy cure on a vertical piece like that? Maybe mix thicker?
This might be a stupid question, but does anyone know if you can put epoxy on car parts? Like a tailgate or hood for example? I'm new to the epoxy thing but I am randomly curious. Thanks!
I love these videos they are so in depth which makes everything so much easier! Do you think you guys can do a white counter with the brown stone spray? I would appreciate it thank you!
I'm building my dream standing desk right now out of an 8 foot birch butcher block & the game plan is to do a single coat of black water based solid stain over pre-stain so it's dark but the grain & block still pops through, then I'm going to do a few thin layered pours with the Montana Marble Effects in between each layer. Once that's all done sand & hone to a stone like finish. The idea being it looks like marble until you're right up on it & see the wood at the bottom. Hoping it comes out great. I just did a test piece on some birch ply yesterday & it's looking like my nutty idea is going to work! I just have to remember to bug wide gestures with the Marble Effects. A little bit seriously goes a long way with those cans! Super easy to overdo it.
I love the videos. Let Mike know that he is missed. Maybe show up for a visit on one of the videos to say hi and let everyone know what he's been up to.
Can I cut on that or no?? I am a woman and it looks like I can do that on wood.( 3/4 ply). But for cooking I just would like if I can cut on it and is it food safe??
Hey Mitch, when I bought my first torch I got burned, no pun intended, because if you tip it over it shuts off. Do you have any torch recommendations? Am I able to disable that safety feature? Also, you guys should be more active on twitter.
I can’t tell you how much I’ve learned watching your videos. I’m getting ready to pour my first table top (kitchen bistro table top) but I have an issue in that my shop is unheated. Keeping the temp. (Or even getting it up to) at or about 65° in the Pacific NW isn’t possible even in July around here (where nighttime temps still fall into the lower 50’s). So my question is this… Can I still get a full cure with an extended cure time stretching into say 8-10 days at ~50°?? Thanks for these great instructional videos…keep them coming!
Looks like good products and I’ve been wanting to try them. Tried opening an contractor account with you guys over a month ago. No response. Called in and spoke to someone that said she would let the department knows that handles it. Never heard from them. Called in again and got her again with an attitude and said she would let them know again. Again nothing. Called in a 3rd time and pretty sure she answered again. She said a manager would call me and big shocker no one called. I guess you guys don’t need my business.
Hey Mitch! Still in western Canada looking for a supplier. You're obviously not getting my emails (I've sent 3 lol) Just incase they're going into your spam file etc, my email starts with "laney". Hope to hear from you soon. Dawn

This video really shows what a difference the torch makes. Thank you
Great video Mitch! Easy and beautiful countertop for beginners!
Do you sell mini sample kits for someone who wants to do a test run before going all in?
Looks great and it looks so easy to do! Of course anything looks easy when you know what you are doing.
fabulous Mitch!
Mitch, my counter is mostly smooth with a bit of texture. Can I just prime it or would I need to sand it first ?
I love this channel!!! 🥰You are so fun and informative to watch!!
Great video. Some spray paints require 48hr dry time for out gassing. Something to keep in mind with some spray paints.
Brilliant. That's just insanely easy. Question: can you epoxy a sliding door on both sides? that would look awesome.

Hey Mitch can you use denatured alcohol also to pop bubbles? Which is better? Torch or denatured?
Love watching your videos. I would like to see you do a black base with blue, purple, green, punk/red, and whith galaxy piece.

Great video! Im wondering about the edges? You never covered that which is important with removing runs/drips?

I like what you offer, but care to do this myself.... do you have any suggested imstallers??
do you do any with yellows or golds?
I have used other epoxies but I find it difficult to clean the mixer paddle. How do you clean your mixer paddle?

As someone who would take the time to ensure a mirror flat finish.. what are some tips you have as far as sanding
I love what you do but I live in the UK do you have an agent in this country I would like to buy some?
Great easy project!!
could you use a pressure pot to get the air bubbles out before pouring the epoxy?

What kind of board is this
What material is the black board?
They like to use MDF a lot. When in doubt, stick with MDF.
Your good instructor hey whats up with Mike haven't seen him anymore hope he's OK
Thanks👊👍
Does anyone know if you can use this method to build shower walls?

Curious if anyone has ever tried to use a syringe fill it up with pre mix color. then come back to the pour to create veins.
You can get the same marble effect by using undiluted automotive lacquer paint in a paint gun!

I’m pouring my first StoneCoat this week. If I’m capable, I’m dropping $20k on product to get that part of my business going.
