They are one of my favorite shoes I own, I used them throughout my travels in the Alps, between them and the heavier X Alp GTX boots, I had my bases covered for all my hiking and climbing I did. I love both so much I have two pairs of each, because Salomon has discontinued both. If you can find a pair of either, I would highly recommend grabbing them while you still can.
Nice honest review. Thank you. I love Solomon SNOWCROSS and have bought several pairs over the last few years. The Snowcross are perfect for trail running, they have great cleats on them & they handle you running in-and-out of water/rivers, but I wasn't sure about the XA ALPINE 2 ADVANCED. It sounds like the XA ALPINE 2 ADVANCED aren't very breathable...
hi and thanks for the review its very helpful i am thinking about to order but now i am thinking about price could you please help me what do you think about "adidas terrex free hiker cold.rdy hiking boots" i am thinking to go for those one could you make some comparison between both
I feel like it would not be comfortable to wear this in the city on flat ground because of the deep lugs on the bottom for grip? As someone who is used to wearing Hoka's in the city maybe my comfort expectation is unrealistic.

This shoe was aimed at the techwear hypebeasts, who have the budget to buy an acronym coat for 3000

No, the lugs aren't particularly uncomfortable on pavements, it would take getting used to from hokas
I am pretty sure "XA" stands for "All Terrain," for whatever reason.
