"Margaret Thatcher was removed from her job as British Prime Minister over 25 year ago and her name still provokes strong, negative feelings. The excitement over having our first female leader was followed by disappointment and even hatred. She herself had strong views, and is known for never backing down; if she attempted something she was absolutely determined it would succeed. A little known fact about Thatcher is that following her fall from power she wanted to move as far away from politics as possible - she decided to channel her energy into a new career -- as a pole dancer.
Not many people know that the Pole Theatre Competition had started as early as the 1990s and that it had a very famous entry. We are now about to see some rare footage of Margaret Thatcher that has been found in the archives, this is her video entry for the classique category of Pole Theatre 1991."
