To those of you who actually finished the secret ending of the first game, and know what weight this theme once held, I offer you my sympathies. This game didn’t just do fans dirty. It did Aya dirty, it wiped away a tragic and compelling story all for the sake of one man’s obsession with time travel and horny bait.
This was truly the most heartbreaking track in the entire Parasite Eve franchise. =‘( Being a symphonic reprise of the super-boss theme from the first game, this track truly cements the finality of The 3rd Birthday: a tragic end to a beloved franchise.
The music was literally the only good thing about this game. As a sequel it was terrible. But if you change the names, it's fine. The music score was amazing and that's what I loved the most about it.
The worst part is that this theme originally was used to cap off the original game on PS1 for its secret ending. Where it had a lot more emotional weight and gravitas, as it capped off Aya coming to terms at last with the loss of her sister, Maya
Like… it’s seriously as though Nomura did everything in his power with this game to bastardize the entire legacy of the previous two games. Let alone the first one.
@skyeguy7914 the original theme helped bring the story full circle. I rate a good game based upon its soundtrack and its story. Parasite eve 1 was an essentially perfect game with a deep, complex story, spectacular visuals (idk they're still amazing now) perfect atmosphere, great, well developed characters, and a soundtrack which REALLY did a lot for atmosphere mood, and self contained story telling. Even the little touches such as the sound of dripping water. Signifying the aftermath of the crash that killed Mariko and Maya (I do love too that the game is also a sequel to the book, which I still have to this day sitting on my bookshelf in a place of honor) and signified ayas survival and hospital recuperation, and how it signified her survivors guilt. These all helped to deepen the story and make it feel as meaningful as it was. Yeah, sequel game 3 sucked. 2 was ok as a "she still has adventures and has work. " sequel. But it brought little new to the table save some fun guns to fire. Parasite eve left a lasting impression even what? 26 years later? (God I can't believe it's already been that long...) and thats the mark of an excellent game. Long term resonance and impact.
@@StormsandSaugeye to say the very least, I love the original to death, and do the whole tradition of starting a new playthrough christmas eve and playing each day in conjunction with the date. An odd Christmas tradition, but it’s one a lot of fans do. Parasite Eve 2 has niche enough with me. It was my first real survival horror game, and while some would say it’s a bad start, I’ve played Resident evil 1-3 and the first two silent hill games. I do think PE2 deserves at least a little respect in that it could carve its own identity. That said… The 3rd birthday is not only a product of its time. It reeks of horror themed cover shooter, which was popular especially on the console in question at the time. And worst of all, it got the full Nomura treatment. A fate I wish on no game.
Excuse me,but can you upload the music that plays when Aya shoots Eve?I remember it was also played in the credits.I couldn't find it,so I require your help.

Absolutely.
Never played or heard of this series and this track just blows a lot of ost I’ve heard out the water.
It's an updated version of the original Parasite eve orchestral theme. That, I think, is part of its appeal.
@@StormsandSaugeye He never heard of the series.
It's a great story with a decent gameplay with a massive ost. Go for it, I've 2 PSP'S just for it. Go on, enjoy.
