Yeah, she had definitely given up and didn't wanna go with him even if he had treats before. She was saying "just let me die here in peace". Maybe bc of her puppies she had recently and of course the pain that adds up.

My dad and I were walking on the street to get some bagels for brunch and then I noticed a dog that was average sized on the street and it was just laying there breathing heavily. I didn't notice it at first but I saw my dad staring at it for quite some time. I was like, dad what's wrong and he just pointed at the little guy, and it was pretty busy in the street but I could hear it's breathing heavily. I was around 9 at that time so I was scared if he'd do something but he didn't. My dad picked him up and the little guy started crying and people were looking at us, it was so hard but a friend of ours that worked in a small diner helped us out so we got him to a vet. Turned out he (it was a boy btw) was a Chinese lion dog (he was a chow chow pup back then) and had diaphragmatic hernia, so the vet assumed that he was hit by a car or something. It was so hard watching him suffer but he made it through... We foster failed and ended up adopting him now I use him as my supportive pillow :)

I love how after the operation, yara was being very submissive and cuddly towards eldad out of everyone.
Its like she felt ashamed of how she behaved during the rescue and realised he meant no harm.

When I saw her leg my heart broke. I can’t imagine in how much pain she was. Not only physically but also mentally. I’m so glad she is good now and happy.

Watching your videos brings joy to my life. Thank you. All my pets are adopted. Currently 2 senior cats and 2 very young dogs. I've had several other adoptees who have since passed. I made their lives happy and safe.

@@lorriehamrich6723 What a fucked up thing to say. In reality, you weren't there, he was. In reality he spent the best part of his day to help that animal. Paid the vet bill, and arranged everything that dog needed to recover. The best way he could, given the time and location.
Sometimes you have to use tough love for the benefit of the dog in the long term.

That and the agressive tail wag. If she hadn't had a crushed leg, she would have attacked Eldad had she been in pain from some other injury. This was a really scary rescue, and I've never seen Eldad so frustrated, with reason. Thank God he got help, Loreta did a great job. Wow, just...wow. @@jeanblythe1595 well that is understandable bc I am guessing she didn't just snap that leg herself. A human has to do with it 100%. Plus every animal in such pain becomes scared agressive bc they know they couldn't fight so they are worning who ever is getting too close
My biggest worry is that whoever used her up as a breeder crushed that leg when she was abandoned, knowing the outcome would be death if not found. Yara had every reason to act aggressively under the circumstances. I hope somehow that the former owner can be found and brought to justice. My biggest and ultimate hope is that the owner will face God's judgment if not man's. No animal should ever be treated the way Yara was treated until she crossed paths with the heroic Eldad Hagar and Hope For Paws.
The poor baby, she was so lucky that you were the one to persevere on her behalf and give her a chance at a happy, dog life. May God bless Yara, you and all the rest of the angels that gave her another chance. Cheers ...

I had already started crying and then this actually made me laugh. It warmed my heart. Hope for Paws doesn’t give up on animals. That includes you, Yara.
Jenna Werner They are so kind to animals. This angel was scared out of her mind and this is how she learned to defend herself. She wasn’t trying to hurt anyone, she was trying to save herself and Eldad understood that. Kindness is how we communicate with animals, and at the end of the video she got to see that. She reciprocated that gentleness, and that is the greatest thing in the world. Hope for Paws is the first to show that kindness.

He could've done it better. When I rescue dogs we have better equipment, it comes across more aggressive, but manhandling the dog does reduce stress and doesn;'t let them get away.

I just love your voice when you speak to the animals and tell them no, no, like they understand. She is so afraid, but shows this will to want to protect herself and to live. She ended up being truly grateful and happy. As usual, just needed to be loved.

She sounded and looked aggressive because she was so, so scared and painfull. She probably never had a loving hand touching her. Looking at her it seems she was used to breed puppies and when she couldnt do it, she was just asbandoned to die alone. But you guys saved her. Thank you. Pitbulls are so unloved they dont deserve it.

Looking at how thin she is and how low her nipples are and how dry... (Also how it seems like the place she was hiding was a nest.) That she lost her puppies tragically through her not being able to take care of them. :( Either way it's a huge tragedy.
This rescue really took guts and bravery, Eldad. As much pain as she was in and so scared, she could have really hurt you. You are amazing.
