Public Forum - Enterprise Funds and Recommended Utility Rate Increases - July 25, 2024

Broomfield’s Water Fund, Sewer Fund and Water Reclamation Fund (collectively the Utility Funds) operate as “Enterprise” funds. The rates and fees within each fund should be set to cover the costs of providing services to customers. Due to increasing costs such as regulations and unfunded mandates, unprecedented inflation, infrastructure maintenance costs and staffing needs, recommended rate increase proposals from Broomfield staff will be coming before the Broomfield City Council. The Enterprise Funds forum is scheduled for July 25 from 6-7:30 p.m. in the Broomfield City Council Chambers at One DesCombes Drive.
