the only Nvidia Shield TV that has IR is the 2015 model. 2017 and 2019 are Bluetooth only

You can easily add IR functionality with a Flirc USB adapter.

Cool remote , thanks for sharing putting in my basket for my other TVs. I Accidentally turned on CEC on my Vizio TV now my Vizio remote operates all my fire devices, buzz st4000 stick, and my formuler z8 pro and will operate all devices that are compatible, then A few days ago I seen the Lee from lee tv do a video on this. I just thought The remote just happened to work on all devices when I bought the TV until I seen his video.

Thanks for this, a very nice remote. But after checking the PDF for model #, my 2017 Shield was unlisted. And my Mecool KM1 was unlisted. So keep looking.

I got one a few years ago. Took for ever to pair it to my shield. Not even sure what did the trick. Suddenly it just worked one day. But there was something off about it. Like it was missing functions from the regular remote. And then suddenly it unpaired completely

An IR remote for tv boxes. That's middle ages technology. When i want to control my tv box i don't want to point the remote straight to the box. OFA should start moving forward and create a real tv box remote working on BT or RF.
