The machine looks like it was manufactured in the 1970s !! Store the electrode in a 3.5M solution of KCl ,not distilled water !! To check the quality of the electrode , prepare a one part of pH 7.00 to 10 parts of distilled water . The pH should be between 7.15 to 7.25 . Outside of this the electrode will need maintenance .
