We literally throw out more food than we get to people.....its almost like if we took the profit motives out of our food supply we can actually feed more people cause there would be no financial incentives to throw out food rather than give it to people to eat.

Recycling seawater into fresh drinking water would secure all of human's fredh water needs, it would end droughts, and in turn it would end global poverty with an abundance of food production, and world leaders could make that happen within one generation if they were serious about ending global poverty
Sorry that is a very short sighted reply. We used to say the same about lakes, dams and rivers. Many have disappeared or become highly polluted. Look into the future about 100 years and the oceans will meet the same fate. Overpopulation is the problem placing more demand on finite resources.

Boil the seawater. It is called distillation. Use solar panels for the heating process. no need to replace membranes anymore
