the thing is however good the stock are and you have some stunning birds they can not win on there own they need the fancier too, so congratulations on an incredible team
100% , I think this years videos have proven you need both the birds and the fancier , as we can’t make birds faster all we can do is prepare them so they are 100% every time they enter the basket
Brilliant video fingers crossed the ybs go well ,its peregrine mania up here terrible luck so far with mine 5 stiched up this year already, thanks again lads
I can only assume there getting hit on many occasions on route home , but our combine because of the driving hours they now have to adhere to has caused a lot of the problems, it’s to hot in the transporter and we are liberating to late in the day when others are up at 7am we are more like 9.30 so I don’t think this has helped mate
Have to keep plodding on mate , this old bird season has been a horrible experience, but I said to my dad it’s very educational as a lot of people ask is it the pigeons or is it the fancier, well I think we’ve proved this year you can’t make pigeons any faster , we prepare them so there 100% every week but if there not good enough u won’t win , il be entirely honest we need to get through this season and get our winning lines back in the team , but a lot will depend on how the yb season goes can we fix this in one season or will it take 2 seasons 👍
Hope you can do it in a season mate good luck hope it comes good for you. Without being cheeky let's know if any birds are going as I'm starting up Reay for next season cheers Tony

Morning to you both great onest clip again, did you ever get any of these pigeon's back or reported that's a hard one to swallow. Fantastic hen 320, you need to keep hold of her Richy for the future.
Morning David , I’m not 100% sure which video your referring to but the answer either way will be no , with regards the yb race where we lost 34 pigeons it goes down as the worst race in the history of the UNC , the convoyer received 2 phone calls off fanciers 10mins before he liberated begging him not to let them go , it was 239 miles to us from Chelmsford and they were released in black clouds with torrential rain the entire way home , the poor birds had no chance , we had 70 ybs away that day and we got our first bird at 7.30pm and our second in the dark at 9pm so 2 back on the day , to tell you what happened we had a bird reported on a oil rig 70 miles out to sea inline with Norwich , so the birds went out to sea to try and go round the rain , we got 12 back the following day and another 20 over the next few weeks , the national the following week had 3000 birds away so approximately 12000 birds lost in the combine , obviously a few thousand made it back over the coming weeks but the only guys to profit were the big lofts who had a back up team of late breds but guys like us were knocked back a season which is this season hence the dip in form
Hello Richy, my fault i should of said stock & yb loft tour, shouldn't be let go in those conditions that not giving the pigeons a chance, that just chucking them away imo.
The quality in your stock team is exceptional, ex-racers with fantastic records and others producing generations of winners, something most can only dream of!! Bet your winter evenings are never boring try to choose which ones to pair together.....'could you just pass me the pencil sharpner again dad' 😂 I noticed you still have them together is this something you normally do? Ive heard a few people say that a hen only has a certain number of eggs it can lay in a lifetime and letting them continue to lay in the off season is a waste, what do you reckon??
Agreed Andrew , we take one more round to sell , usually they all go before the end of the season but those that don’t get pre ordered I do an online auction with them , last year on pigeon chat and if we have 10-12 left end of season probably on there again , if only a handful il do it myself on elimar , most years though there all gone by the end of the season , we have alot of stock to go this year and a lot are totally untried but my shed at my house we want to turn into individual breeding pens so I need to pretty much sell every stock bird at mine to make the room , we want down to 16 pair of stock and that will consist 90% of our own family of pigeons so I’ve no doubt there will be some hidden gems we get rid of end of year as like I say they haven’t really been tried. Ps best time of the year picking the pairings I think for most fanciers , the not knowing and anticipation has to be the best part of breeding ybs 🤣👍
Your stock team are outstanding quality, I see use are very successful in racing hens ,how do you race them and how do you stop the hens from pairing up to one another,do they perch on poles or V perches ,as I've found the hens start to pair when in top condition,
Hi David , our hens race on roundabout and v perches , we find if we keep them racing each week it reduces them pairing together but if they do start pairing we try to find the main culprit or the lesser racer of the two and we start locking her in a box , our hens are in a dingy little section that gets very little light in and only see there boxes on a race day and these seems to be enough motivation for them on a Saturday, it’s a total headache when hens pair together so we try our best to stop it
Hi Paul , we get asked this a lot , but this is years and years of best to best so it’s very much our own family . But to answer you question I would say the most prominent strain would be Custer
Brilliant loft amazing birds, seems to be all over the world Hawk attacks on pigeons are devastating the pigeon racing community.
