Fantastic video great to see your young birds coming back from the training toss thanks again for the video I’ll definitely be watching the channel race can’t wait for that👍🏻🏴
Thanks mate , it will be a really tough day tomorrow in that wind , so the confidence has drained out of me , I just hope we get one through for the video , because there will be many lads don’t get one 🤞🤞
Thanks mick , to be honest we don’t worry to much , they soon get out the habit once they get a bit distance into them , 30 miles there just not remotely tired and it was an hour before feeding time , but it will sort itself out mate 👍
Thanks Richy really enjoyed the extra video they looked well schooled but you never can tell with young birds until you get a few races into them will be watching the National race tomorrow wouldn’t it just be the old bird season you had if you get a good one tomorrow in the national and you’re a graft. Hope you get one more than one be greedy. All the best again lads thanks .
You can’t really train it John it’s just confidence, we find once we start flagging them when there flying or to chase them from the roof , 75% of them seem reluctant to land there probably associating the flag coming out if they do, but some will always choose that route but as they get to yearling stage and they realise the rest are hitting the board there once again reluctant to be the odd one out as safety in numbers I guess mate
@@alibrospigeons8317 makes sense… I guess there is no silver bullet but the trick is to build the confidence with that 75% to enable the remaining to follow. I do appreciate the detail in your reply. Cheers mate!
Well done for putting this up, great to see them trap, they will be better for it , at least they have had the experience of being on the transporter before racing starts properly. Keep the clips coming, if you reply back to this can you give me contact details cheers .
Hi lads, thanks for the latest video, I thought Pigeon racing in the North East was dying but the stocks I've seen this week make me think again, loved all the young birds coming home together, where do you toss them from ?? ( training) I am regularly in North Yorkshire but am always interested in Local Races. Thanks again best of luck this weekend and will await the next videos.
To be honest Stephen there will be more than 15000 ybs , the problem with the old bird numbers is the amount we’ve all lost each yb season . If we could keep hold of them it would be huge again , that transporter chuck was about 30 miles from Hartlepool today , really happy they pretty much came as one and trapped great for ybs , and 🤞for tomorrow and we get one through it will be a tough day but we live in hope mate 🙏👍
@@alibrospigeons8317 As you know I'm in Sunderland next to Ryhope & Silksworth and have a holiday home in North Yorks which we travel to most weeks but if you want to toss the birds (free of charge of course) if we can accommodate I'll let them go for you down the A1 Harrogate/ Wetherby. Just a thought. Just Enjoy the videos that's all. Thanks Lads.
Dave just got one at 5pm and a bloody falcon had had hold of it 😡, not our day mate a really tough one , not really what our birds are built for . Only the one back mate
