    Goran's win will always be a special one! Ranked at 125 at that time and to come in as a wild card and win the championship is so special..that too beating very significant names enroute to his finals!! Memory etched for ever!

      I always had a liking for Goran Ivanisevic and seeing him win this was just one of the best finals.

  • @imanolduhalde
    @imanolduhalde Год назад +28

    Ivanisevic also cried in 1992, after losing against Agassi a match he clearly desserved to win...
    His victory 9 years after was juste incredible, being out of the top 100, coming as a wild card, and then climbing the title when no one awaited him. This tournament has definitely something special

    Sampras winning in 2000 and breaking the all-time Grand Slam titles record with the fading lights, camera flashes, and emotional parents attending a match of his for the first time looking on is the OG "history has been made" moment. Should have been included.

      I always loved Andy Roddick. I had to go to a three couples joint 50th wedding anniversary on the afternoon of his Wimbledon final. My blind cousin Dan, who is a huuuuuge sports nut took a small radio with him and was listening to the Wimbledon final surreptitiously during all the speeches etc. I kept going up to him and asking him the score 😉

      That year wimby decided to give him a wildcard entry, don't expect anything at all from him since he's at the end of his career. But I guess destiny finally smiled at him, so did million of tennis fans, two very emotional victories and a goodbye to one of the greats in this sport at the end of the millennium and then the beginning of 21th century... What a emotional roller coaster ride during that period!

      Путин продолжает беспрерывные атаки на Бахмут. Люди там включая детей без воды, света и газа. Ни дня без бомбардировок и обстрелов Донбасса кремлевскими войсками. Пригожин это олигарх с криминальным прошлым, который вопреки законам России освобождает заключенных с тюрем включая судимых за тяжелые преступления. Гибнут и стают калеками люди. Кремль бомбил Сирию и Чечню. Кремль врет о ''нацистах'' и о наемниках НАТО. Кремль запугивает народ России и устанавливает настоящую хунту! Нет жестокой и позорной войне против братского народа! Нет издевательствам Кремля над трудовым народом Донбасса! Свободу политзаключенным в России! Буча Нюрнберг! Война в Чечне в 1994 1996 и 1999 2001 Нюрнберг! Агрессия против Грузии зло! То, что на Украине это геноцид украинцев и русских кремлевскими преступниками! Скамья в Гааге! Народы России!!! Вставайте! Вставайте против этого зла! С Вами Бог! Рашизм не пройдет!
