  • Trying out Intuition skate liners after all this time. Tried my hand at heat molding them which seemed successful to me. And I give my initial response on them. Enjoy guys!

    Yoooo! All the tricks! I'm learning hurricane topsoul now .. but urghhhh 😩

      Thanks man! I'm kinda "cheating" on my hurricane topsoul right now 😂 I'm basically doing a hurricane fish with a leg wrap around to topsoul 🤷‍♂️ I'm adjusting as I go. Haha. I tend to overspin into 450 back royale if I don't do it this way. I'm sure I'll figure it out proper again soon. I've been working some on switch hurricane topsoul as well... that one is giving me a fight. 😂

    Nice new liners! I love my Intuition liners like many. I use a thin Superfeet hockey insole inside which helps support my arch and actually makes them more comfortable and takes up a little extra space inside the liner for a precise fit. The combination makes the Razors SL and Genesys feel incredible. I can't quite make them work in the Shifts though due to the toe pressure. I think Intuitions are known to work great in almost every shell, especially the Them 908/ 909, FR UFR, Mesmer, RB Blanks and many others. I'm very interested to see more videos on your thoughts on skate gear and other topics you touch on! Oh and your microphone worked great, very good audio.

      Thanks so much man! 🙏 the microphone seemed to capture the audio well albeit a little "muffled" sounding depending on placement. So I may end up playing with some audio cleaning apps to see if I can tidy it up some for future videos. And I could tell right out of the box that the intuition's toe box was much too wide for shifts, I tried them in the Iqon AG20s as well and they were too wide. Thanks for the encouraging words 🙏 I'm gonna continue to try new things because I'm a complete skate nerd! 😂 so I hope you enjoy. I want to try some different flat wheel setups soon.

    I've had mine for almost a year and of all the intuitions, I am not a fan of the premiums, too stiff in the heel/ankle area for me.

    • @THEBLADINGCODE
      @THEBLADINGCODE  Год назад

      Really? That's interesting. I don't think I really noticed any stiffness in those areas. But, this is my first and only intuition liner, so I don't really have anything to compare it to.

    Shift or SL? Why?

    • @THEBLADINGCODE
      @THEBLADINGCODE  Год назад +1

      Currently. SL. The shift boots have more flexibility and responsiveness as soon as I put them on my feet. BUT the shifts have a kinda narrow toe box both in width and height. So my toes feel awfully cramped to the point of almost going numb after about an hour. The SL take a bit longer to "hit my stride in", after about 10 minutes of skating and adjusting my lacing they start to feel really great. The SLs also have a MUCH wider toe box area that feels perfect nonstop 👌 I also prefer the backslide groove on the SLs and they seem to slide much faster on side plates. Both are really great skates, SLs just suit me a little better.

    Have you tried these in your shadows?

      I have just ordered the e.e3 and have intuitions too whick i thought id try in the shadows if the boots didnt fit thats what sascha simms is riding atm

    • @THEBLADINGCODE
      @THEBLADINGCODE  11 месяцев назад +1

      I have not! Haha. That idea hasn't even occurred to me. This liner seems entirely too thin to try and openly ride in a shadow skate.

      @@THEBLADINGCODEyeah ive seen a few people do it on instagram im looking forward to trying it he even uses the wizard liner now which is thinner again

    • @THEBLADINGCODE
      @THEBLADINGCODE  11 месяцев назад

      I THINK he's done some modifications to ride like that. I actually think I noticed in one of his videos he's was riding intuitions somehow. But I think he must be riding them with the lower foot of the liner inside of a modified shoe. The upper portion of the liner is sturdy and would probably be fine in the cuff (if you v cut the cuff) but the lower part of the liner is very thin and soft, I imagine it would wear out easily and not protect your toes properly.

      @@THEBLADINGCODE i spoke with him on instagram he said he just rides the new e.e3 stock with the intuition he did put a boa lace system on it ti lace faster as far as im aware

    Nice video! What was your mondo size and what size liner did you end up getting?

    • @THEBLADINGCODE
      @THEBLADINGCODE  Год назад

      I'm 25.6cm, went with the 6-6.5(24-24.5cm) liner, and after heating it, it's perfect.

    • @docsinclair4097
      @docsinclair4097 Год назад

      @@THEBLADINGCODE I noticed the same. Dunno why they did that, but if you go by mondo with the premiums they are way too big. You have any comparison to V2s?

    • @THEBLADINGCODE
      @THEBLADINGCODE  Год назад

      @docsinclair4097 I've never tried any other intuitions honestly. I went with these because they seemed to have more individual sizing rather than (s/m/l) I was lucky enough to try on a pair smaller than I thought I could fit at an event which is how I gauged what size I needed. But yes, I would say they fit a little big, so heat molding a size slightly smaller than you'd normally go with is probably the best route. At least, it's worked out great for me.
