Maan, i really love the comeback of Arcs and Overdress. And i really like how Yu-Yu explaining the OverDress, it's like a callback from Esperaridea scene from OverDress S2 and in this episode Yu-Yu also talk about "Wear them" As addition to OverDress's explanation that referred to X-overDress about combining power with others. And it's kinda make Yu-Yu want to say that Raika's statement about throwing away at the beginning was wrong and in the end Yu-Yu (kinda)doesn't throwing away his past self(OverDress's deck) and actually used it in the current deck. Solid ep too for Raika's development. OverDress collaboration was 🔥🔥
That comeback is actually decent irl too. My Nirvana XDress deck could still use Arcs as a source of draw power though, since XOverdress eats a lot of hand cards xD
I didn't expect to see Arcs to be in Yuyu deck. Talk about a plot twist. Indeed, Yuyu doesn't throw away his past and instead use it to shape himself while Raika rideline reflect the opposite, forgetting his innocent but weak past(G0-G2 Youth) and only care for victory(G3 Youthberk).

because they love to reboot every single series of this game.. I don't hate the anim.. but I hate they reboot the game.. Yu Gi Oh/ Battle Spirits and others doesn't have any trouble continuing the same gameplay and card sets.. me as a real life vanguard player since Aichi's series having a hard time after this series come out.. I accept when V series came out and bruhhh in the end.. need to change to D deck after most supports/ tournament regulation are changed. Plus, I really2 hate the clan - nation change. They did a great job for decreasing types of deck so they can release supports easily but changing the nation name too is a no. Despite all of this I still choose clan type.. they sort the game better. You can see this difference in Vanguard EX and DD game. Where you can easily find your cards inside a clan and not in DD unless you search it using keyword

What a amazing final Fight. Raika finally understand, even if he still refuses to do it himself, that having fun is also one way to do cardfight. Yu yu got huge amount of development through out this arcs and hopefully he continues to grow in series to come. I absolutely love how he used Arcs Vairina and Garou Vairina at the same time, reminds me of Aichi in the past using both Blaster Blade and Blaster Dark at the same time. Also if you notice the top three winner there is basically the OG Three Clan reference. Yu yu Kagerou, Raika Shadow Paladin, Tohya Royal Paladin. I love those subtle references. So overall well done season 👏👏
Watched this episode and the previous one several times since release, this one in particular is just a great fight all around. I appreciate how the Over Triggers don't play a HUGE role in the fight, instead being used as guards, allowing the rest of the fight to feel more like a fight from the original anime. I also appreciate that, while Raika admitted that Team Blackout weren't the type of team he thought they were, he still sticks firmly to his ideals of taking Cardfights absolutely seriously, while still adding development for his character.
Honestly, the added Vairina Arcs was truly the biggest deus ex machina moment in this anime mainly due to the fact that apart from Yuyu's first fight - he uses Xoverdress cards. I guess the surprise tech was just so jarring. Still a good episode tho! NOW RELEASE RAIKA"S THEME BUSHI!!!

This was such an amazing episode and an amazing fight between Yu-yu and Raika. I was honestly okay with either of them winning. Can’t wait to watch Season 2.
Man this episode… what is there even to say about this episode? It’s simply… perfection one of the better fights up with the likes of Aichi vs Ren, Aichi vs Kai (Link Joker) and Yu-Yu vs Mirei last season. What a blast if a season can’t wait to see what comes next after a nice break.
That was one heck of an amazing cardfight between Raika and Yu-Yu. Dress vs. Dress is the best especially when Yu-Yu is able to perform Overdress and X-Overdress in one turn resulting in him conquering this tournament and becoming the champion. Now he, Raika and Tohya are going to rule the world once again but of course, nobody wants to lose anymore which is fun. This season proves to be better than ever before.

I’ve enjoyed it much more than most v seasons and even some of the G seasons. I can’t wait for the second season of Will+Dress for more banger fights and songs.
Probably best if he didn’t cause drajeweled eats all of the other Vanguards’ power for breakfast, lunch, and dinner combined. And that’s even before Drajeweled Ignis.

Also it´s seem like the next season of the "dress" serie will be about a world tournament, most of vanguard tornament has been team ones ,so maybe the top three of deluxe will have to form a team? ,that would be intereting to see, maybe even having Urara/Michiru/Mirei as a four back up member .

Yeah, I really like that. She didn't like Raika at first then she learned more about him and started to understand and being sad for him.... Then, she was so invested in the Yuyu vs Raika fight that she want to become stronger to have exciting cardfights like that. Pretty cool and decent character development for my cinnamon roll 👌
We are 3 seasons in and we are just now getting mentions of overseas fighters, they're really handling the pacing of this series differently compared to previous series. Though Michiru continues to be a mystery with his words, are they just like that because he's a theater kid or is there something more to the visuals we see from him
I think Urara want to become stronger as cardfighter to have cardfight as exciting as the finale. Her joining Raika's team was a bit predictable how she learned and seems intriguing about him. It can lead to a interesting character development for her and eventually to raika too
There is so much I truly want to say but cant even find right words so I will just say Im so much happy Yuyu won and cant wait to see trio of Touya, Raika and Yuyu in next season along with Danji! script writers of the fights in this season deserve raise, they know how to keep things interesting but keeping it realistic, theyre clearly passionate of the game too
The animators and animation director(s) deserves it as well for making such detailed shots like 19:32 and animations that keep us engaged. We went from the very first season with pretty decent to this.

I am glad Raika doesnt had change his personality 180º. I dont like when character do that (I am looking you, Ren) He just acknowledge Yu-yu and that is enough.
To be fair, Ren always simply enjoyed having fun in his fights. It was just his desire to help his friends that pushed him to obtain PSY Qualia, which warped his mindset to winning above all else. Once Aichi took it away, Ren was free to be himself again.
Predictable result and gameplay aside I’ll say this wasn’t bad. I’ll have to rewatch the first 6 minutes for dialogue because captions were doing weird language bs again but from what I could get from it is a solemn tournament ending, which kinda solidifies my reasoning for not liking tournament arcs (not the solemn ending part I actually like that despite it being weird seeing Raika delivering it). But this is also reminds the fact of how the second to last episode always feels like it’s done better than the last, in terms of animation, unpredictably but that part is obvious, and just overall grip. However I’ll give it this, for the second time now there was a card game anime that actually got me to watch a tournament arc of my own accord outside of soundtracks…more or less. Damn I was trying to make this sound positive

I think Urara want to become stronger as cardfighter to have cardfight as exciting as the finale. Her joining Raika's team was a bit predictable how she learned and seems intriguing about him. It can lead to a interesting character development for her and eventually to raika too
Imagine if Urara managed to become Raika's friend offscreen by the time next season starts.....

Not even a stretch. Vairina is basically kagero, bastion is pretty much Royal paladins and youthberk has absolutely shadow paladin inspiration.
Oh God the decision making between two skills. I missed that kind of tension. Which skill do I use to better benefit me?

script writers of the fights in this season deserve raise, they know how to keep things interesting but keeping it realistic, theyre clearly passionate of the game too
The animators and animation director(s) deserves it as well for making such detailed shots like 19:32 and animations that keep us engaged. We went from the very first season with pretty decent to this.

X-over dress and regular overdress are different states, you can't mix the two
X-Overdress is a combination of trickstar and prayer dragon unlike overdress u just need a trickstar to do so
I am glad Raika doesnt had change his personality 180º. I dont like when character do that (I am looking you, Ren) He just acknowledge Yu-yu and that is enough.
To be fair, Ren always simply enjoyed having fun in his fights. It was just his desire to help his friends that pushed him to obtain PSY Qualia, which warped his mindset to winning above all else.
Once Aichi took it away, Ren was free to be himself again.
Yeah. He subtly changed. After Tohya, he started a small change in his style.
This is it. Perfect rival. Total opposite. Different dress skill, but same vanguard fighter.
Predictable result and gameplay aside I’ll say this wasn’t bad. I’ll have to rewatch the first 6 minutes for dialogue because captions were doing weird language bs again but from what I could get from it is a solemn tournament ending, which kinda solidifies my reasoning for not liking tournament arcs (not the solemn ending part I actually like that despite it being weird seeing Raika delivering it). But this is also reminds the fact of how the second to last episode always feels like it’s done better than the last, in terms of animation, unpredictably but that part is obvious, and just overall grip. However I’ll give it this, for the second time now there was a card game anime that actually got me to watch a tournament arc of my own accord outside of soundtracks…more or less. Damn I was trying to make this sound positive
