I guess Disney Channel was trying to be a cable version of The WB back then with shows (Bug Juice, The Famous Jett Jackson, Z Games, So Weird, The Jersey, Even Stevens etc…) attracting the same type of demographics (18-34).
This film may be one of the final broadcasts under the "The Magical World of Disney" branding, before being replaced by the "Zoog Movie" intro (and the Disney Channel Original Movie intro for, well...no guesses on that one)
