  • Can Financial Support Help Women Leave Violent Partners? | Vantage with Palki Sharma
The Australian government has pledged almost $1 billion to help women leave violent relationships. The "Leaving violence payment" of $5,000 will help women escape abusive relationships with money for services, risk assessments and safety planning. But does financial support work? Estimates published by the WHO indicate that globally about 1 in 3 women worldwide have been subjected to physical partner violence in their lifetime. So, what can be done to deal with this? Are countries doing enough? Does government intervention help or do countries need to come up with more innovative measures? Palki Sharma tells you.

Why would you only provide this service to women and not men so you can minimize violent relationships in general? We always try to solve problems for women and not for men and end up not solving the problem at the end.

The statistics give the answer . More no of women are facing the violence so they should be given early preference.

@@maheshp312 if we apply this logic to homicides then men should be given the preference since they make up a larger amount of causalities. Same thing would apply to cancer, heart disease wars, Car accidents and etc. If we are going to use this logic fine let’s apply it across the board.

@@againstviralmisinformation510 They dont want that because its just a narrative feminists use to demonise men so they can ''justify'' giving even more priviledge to women.
Btw, you might be interested to learn that feminism is behind woke/esg/dei. The trans issue is only created to give feminism more prominence again and the rest of DEI is a cover so the focus isnt on feminism anymore.

@@maheshp312 Those statistics are made up by lowering what constitutes as ''violence''. Its also ignoring the fact that many women are actively going after more aggressive men instead of more kind and friendly men. In other words a large part of the issue is women's social indoctrination causing them to be attracted to ''bad boys''

Start today at the grassroots. Make it mandatory that teachers discuss in school about bullying, lying, anger management, disrespect, spirituality, discipline, managing time and about keeping safe. Coming from a country like India one can be certain that violence against women is more visible in Western culture whereas dowry related incidents more so in India. In Western culture adults, teachers and work places turn a blind eye to disrespect, bullying, cheap talk, and to basic etiquette. I hear schools have abandoned discipline so these children who spend 6 to 8 hours from babyhood pick up animal behaviour and do not know right from wrong. Another matter in the West is that the government focuses more on income 4 members than letting families manage their lives. Scott Morrison on TV _ Wake up and go to work. WORK is the campaign so even men are incapable of seeing to their families needs without supplements from the government. It is a hopeless situation. Big loans, no proper schooling, food from drive bys and government support is the only answer for most of the population. Looks like if India does not look sharp we will have the same attitude towards family and those around us.

I believe tackling the root cause and correcting the society is better.
    For example:
If a woman get pregnant with her boyfreind post marriage.
If a woman has a really bad mouth speaking rubbish all the time.
If a woman is more violent resorting to voilence for silliest of reasons.
In the above cases spending the tax payers money is a waste of resources.
    1 B$ = 6000 shaheds for iran now you get a value how much 1 B$ worth.
Throwing money and state resources at a problem would result in pointless jobs (the same workforce could be used for a meaningfull job) and certainly not good for the economy.

Violent people don't outright show they are violent at first because that won't trap anyone. The initial few years they act like they are amazing good people. Then slowly they test your boundaries, until few years after, you are shocked how you got trapped into this. They are very sneaky and manipulative and take advantage of your love for them. Don't underestimate these people. They have a completely innocent image in the outside world and completely abusive relationships with their family behind closed doors. They are masters at manipulating people's emotions.

@@maheshp312 That is very true. However women are almost always the ones that choose their partners.. so better education is more required for them, then it is for men.
There are plenty of good men that get friendzoned because they are ''boring'' and not as exciting as a more aggressive man. Effective education won't help those men. Effective education would help women pick those men because they would be better partners.
