Josh Foster is one of my favorite instructors on RUclips. His knowledge is superb and his understanding is excellent. The one thing he might have mentioned in this video is that the pressure is largely applied passively by the direction change of the arc, which exerts centrifugal/centripetal forces combined with momentum, pull you toward the outside of the turn which you can then edge/balance against. Then, controlling how much pressure is a matter of flexion/extension of the legs. Overall an excellent video.
Thank you so much Josh. You are one hell of a ski instructor. I'm a humble level 2 and it makes SO much sense when you show the toppling and early edge grip. Awesome, thank you!
Simple and great explanation Josh !! Thanks for that. As Harald HARB was saying many years ago "If skiers learned how to tip their skis huge improvements could be realized".
Always wanted to ski in Canada. Is the snow different than in the European alps? Do you start the season with artificial snow as a base foundation in the piste?

Simply explained, 100% understood...

What should the middle leg be doing?
Cool ...
Might be a dumb question to ask, is 'where' and 'when' to apply the edges happening at the same moment?
Shorten the inside leg how? Doing what specifically? The rest was clear, but the instruction to shorten the leg wasn't clear to me.
听不懂咋办??
,
Just focus on keeping the upper body facing down the hills with your legs turning under you. This guy is ill-informed
