But the problem is, most of them asked in a respectful way. She just told them off by basically saying "i dont want to answer and defend ovp budget via qna format". She literally did this for the first hour of the hearing. Walang sinagot ng matino. Tapos nung medyo napikon na yung panel, biglang sya pa yung naoffend?! Imagine asking someone na nanghingi ng pera sayo kung para san nila gagastusin.. then just getting the answer na "di ko sasabihin sayo, kasi ayoko ng question and answer format. Bigay mo na lng or hindi" -- di ka ba mapipikon kahit onti?? Tapos kapag di mo sya binigyan, maooffend sya and sasabihin nyang myembro ka ng mga kalaban ng bayan... Logical ba yun?

Now, I never thought the OVP would win me over. She won over my wife first. But this hearing was the tipping point for me and for many of my neutral fence-sitting friends. It made up our minds. Especially after watching what is happening in the KOJC area.
As a matter of personal judgment, and with all due respect, and sincerest apologies if I come across as disrespectful. These "hearings" in aid of legislation or budget deliberations, seems now more like disguises of a kangaroo court. So many are acting like "prosecutors" that also have, collectively or as an individual, the power of a judge. Quite far from what I expected. They now strike fear to resource persons and to the onlookers like me, rather than awaken the joy to collectively and collaboratively come up with solutions. I pray the image of these hearings will improve in the future.
Akala ko nailibing na natin iyong 1970's-1980's oppressive martial law situation. Eto, lumitaw ulit. Sayang... what a waste.
Now the OVP stood up in her own unique way against all odds. Especially against that snide remark "pusit". That remark redefined that supposedly budget hearing into a seemingly oppressive kangaroo court for her. Akala ko, against tayo sa oppression, lalo na iyong nasa "left".
30 Million voted for her, mostly ordinary Filipinos. And now I see and feel the wisdom of the ordinary Filipinos. She's far from perfect. She's fragile. But she is pure and a fighter. Totally different but from that typical suave, smooth, old school type of a political leader I once prefer. Probably her implacable firmness is what we need now. In fact, she comes across as an ordinary lone mother fighting singlemindedly against the odds in a seemingly toxic atmosphere. An underdog. Probably, the story of our beloved motherland, Pilipinas, as well. An underdog. Fragile yet hope-filled and willing to fight even if it is a losing fight for the sake of upholding one's convictions and principles.
If I was undecided before, I am rooting for her now. Whether she wins or lose in future hearings, the outcome is secondary. I think this hearing and the KOJC incident was the tipping point for fence-sitters who have not made up their minds to support her. After what she displayed in this hearing, seeing her fighting in future hearings, is more like attending a campaign rally for her already and for all those fed up with these prevailing toxic national situation. I pray she stays grounded and humble but never meek nor cower in fear. Because she is now for me and for my friends, the face of "the ordinary Filipino people".

it will be a good start for scrutinizing the expenditures of ovp, and hopefully hindi lang expenses nya ang under scrutiny but all those in the government kasi expected na may disallowance din sila and to avoid biased. COA reports can be downloaded in their website, meaning publicly available.

Not when it is confidential and intelligence fund. It cannot be discussed in public. Not even COA are privy to it. Only the Supreme Court. These intelligence funds are used to conduct surveillance and intelligence gathering on government officials, including Congress with subversive ties to CPP-NPA so why would you divulge it to the public? This is a public hearing. Lahat ng questions nila regarding 2025 Propose Budget are all submitted in hard documents, audio/visual and opening statements of the VP. It's all there in the proposal! Ano pa ang gusto n'yo i-clarify? Napanood n'yo na! Nasa inyo na ang hard copy ng proposal. All you do is to look at it! Gusto n'yo kasi lahat maki ride sa media exposure that's why you keep asking the sane questions!

Listen to the entire hearing. It’s part of the budgeting process that congress reviews past budgets to determine reasonableness of current budget requests. Sarah is always accusing anyone who questions her of politicizing the issue. No, she is the one who politicizes it. If she’s not hiding anything then she should be willing to answer all the questions regarding her confidential funds. She keeps diverting the issue.

As per my understanding: The subject is "House hearing on the OVP budget for 2025"so the topic to be discuss should only be related to the OVP's budget proposal. I will give an example related to my industry, Let say I am a project manager of a certain proposed building construction. I will propose to my Boss, I need this amount to complete this project, then my boss will ask me " Why you need this bigger amount compared to the other project when they are just the same. My boss can ask me that, because I have a questionable proposal and I will defend my proposal to the best of my effort to convince my boss to approve my proposal. In this House hearing on the OVP budget for 2025, there is no proposal or no item for confidential funds in the OVP budget proposal 2025, So why congressmen is asking about confidential funds? Why VP need to answer their question related to confidential fund where in fact it has no item in OVP's budget proposal. In my humble opinion, they can only tackle confidential fund if it has an item in OVP's proposal. OVP should answer every question and defend it if she want the budget to be approved.
