It's official. Magneto and Ultron need to form a band. Gotta think of a name tho Masters of Metal Magnetica VIbraniumback All That Remains Will Be Metal I can go on and on!
In the movie Age of Ultron Ultron has a dramatic line where he says something like "When I'm done, all that is living will be metal" so I was going for a nod to that line
ROBO! THANK YOU! for putting out that you're interested in a cyclops!!! he my favorite x-men of all time and i appreciate a big toy reviewer bringing him up. which style of cyclops would you like to see? i dont think he would need many accessories but could you imagine the beam effects?
Oh, I love Cyclops, stick up his butt and all. I always love how him and Wolverine were opposite ends of the spectrum. I think my favorite costumes are Astonishing and the old All New All Different with the blue and yellow. The clean, streamlined looks. But I wouldn't turn down a New X-Men either, but no one wants to makes those. Dang it.
Great review brother!!! The into was hilarious. I do wish the cape was better but overall I think the figure looks great. I can't wait for mine to ship. I know that Cap America is next followed by Carnage but there are so many characters id love to see I hope the line continues for a long time. Id love to see Magik and Nightcrawler from the Xmen and many many more...
Maybe my favorite intro yet. Can't wait for mine to get shipped, he looks really good with legends. Not sure what I want after Carnage. Iron Fist, Nightcrawler, or Sabertooth would be nice. For some reason, I wouldn't be surprised to see a Dr Strange in this line.
Revoltech should have used a single cape piece, those multiple capes really grinds my gears, the rest of the figure looks awesome beside this "minor" problem. Awesome Review, thanks Fwoosh!
sweet , i love the fact they added that extra single joint for the arm, it'll make the figures less awkward i think lol. definitely gonna be using it for spider man
If they were to go deeper into the X-Men, the firs three characters I’d love to see would be Beast, Psylocke and Nightcrawler (preferably all in Jim Lee style). I know it’s digging very deep into the lore but imagine revoltech Spiral and all the crazy poses you’d be able to pull off with a six armed character ;D
The Fwoosh wouldn't you just love it if Nightcrawler came with two sabres and an optional pirate hat to reenact some wicked swashbucklery with him? Also I think they could do something interesting with Toad. I could imagine a multi-jointed tongue you could take apart to have it in different lengths. Or a mean Omega Red to go against Wolvie! Ah, the possibilities! :D
I'm always down for more Brotherhood so I'd buy a Toad quick, plus we've never had a great figure of him anywhere. And Omega Red with the tentacles would look fantastic!
I secretly hope at some point they'll start giving us some iconic versions of popular characters that we've never got from Hasbro. My personal dream-come-true scenario would be Walt Simonson's armoured Thor. With their exaggerated proportions they could fit right into Simonson's style.
Awesome review as always! I personally love the cape design and have loved all the Amazing Yamaguchis so far (al though I skipped SpiderGwen). Excited for Carnage next but really want more X-Men. Who do you think would be the next best suitable character for Amazing Yamaguchi? My pick would be Beast
For starters, I think this classic design of Magneto does not lend itself to a very cool figure. It might look badass to us, but it's honestly kinda goofy. I think the best AY Revos so far are the ones that manage to strike a balance between looking AWESOME in poses while also not looking awkward as hell just standing: that's why I think Wolverine & Venom are the best releases so far. I'd say Magneto could have the third spot (he's quite fairly priced too!) but only if you do a custom cape. And speaking about it....it's an honorabe attempt at a plastic, posable cape but it kinda fails miserably if it only looks like what it's trying to be 30% of the times. Still, I think they did a good job and I like what this line is going for!
+Web-Linez - Its simple to understand, Revoltech doesn't do cloth capes. They never have. Not all figure/toy companies deal with cloth goods. Bandai is just barely getting into it as theyre testing the reception of it with the recent figures.
In the order of how I like this line 6) Spider Gwen (From what I have seen as I do not own her yet) 5) Venom 4) Spider-Man 3) Magneto 2) Wolverine 1) Deadpool
Good review Beardy... kind of felt you liked both Figma Deadpool and this Magneto but neither blew you away So far I would say that my figures of the year would be the Revoltech Wolverine, Mezco Punisher and Black Series Vintage Darth Vader, although the SDCC Deadpool is fantastic too
Yeah, they are cool but not amazing, I guess because they don't add to the main display. I may be in Star Wars mode too. But pulling the Revo Wolvie back off the shelf I'm reminded of just how good that damn thing is. I need to start picking my favorites of the year, actually...
I dig the figure I kinda like the cape but it's too short and I think they did it so it looks like it's always flowing which I find annoying because you cannot put him in a vanilla pose or else the cape is going to look weird
Im starting to wish revoltech would drop the revoltech joint gimic they make such great sculpts but they make me weep in a corner in the fetal position trying to pose them and sometimes just trying to get them to stand, these are amazing figures but..... and thats how i feel about them lol
Oh, I get ya. It's a very fine line between loving and hating these. Most of the time when I get them out of the box I want to throw them through the wall until I got all the articulation worked out and in. I definitely don't blame anyone for hating them, hah.
Great review, you covered all your bases. I don't know if it's just me, but his skin tone seems a bit yellow. Almost looks like a Simpsons version of Magneto.
Great cold opening! Real talk: does anyone actually like Magneto? Man, that Venom is REALLY terrible looking. Looks like a wrestling action figure from the 90s.
Dude you're way too picky, besides that line is super stylized and is something you knew before hand. Either way, your opinion is yours and mine is mine. Keep up the good work broh!
Don't know why they went back to those HORRENDOUS old swivel articulations... I was so hyped about the MARVEL line, but fuck that, I ain't buying an expensive figure that will become lose as all hell after a few poses.
I always wondered what the point of this figure is. The figures are for really agile characters but magneto is only good for like 5 poses. Too much articulation for a character that doesn't need it.
Thanks so much for the review. I was highly anticipating this figure. I knew the cape would make or break it. After seeing those huge gaps, it's a deal breaker for me. Easy pass on this one.
UPDATE: I came into $500 as a surprise Christmas bonus at work and decided to get it anyway. This might be my favorite figure of all time. This review does not do it justice. It looks amazing in person and the cape is not that hard to work with. I've got some great poses with it with no gaps at all, and it wasn't hard to do. I don't think needing a stand should count against him considering he comes with a good one.
@@dbzmagus ayyy I'm always glad to see people change their minds. I know your comment is old but I'm so glad you realized the figure was great because I myself am on the edge of buying it. Your comment is the exact reason why I do not trust reviews at all because it is based on the opinions of the reviewer and when you actually get the product you may end up LOVING it just like how you shared. Hope you see this comment and would you suggest that I should get this figure ? I am very tempted to get him
The character of this figure belongs to his cape, Magneto is always flying that is why Revoltech focused on his cape, you need to imagine the cape is flowing and flying around while he is 30 or 40 feet or more above the ground, i think you're just frustrated because you wanted it too look like an indoor curtain🤣 explore more.
I'm okay with it being all flowy and dynamic. It, just like the figures, aren't really meant to be just standing there doing nothing. My problem comes into it looking like several mini drapes than one billowing piece. That and it doesn't really have the range it should without breaking apart even further. On top of being heavy as all hell.
I think the “this is my home” bubble is like a breaking the 4th wall type of deal so it looks like Magneto is trying to the occupy the collector’s house for himself when you open the box at your home. Kinda similar to deadpool’s “is this a mall?” bubble which assumes the collector is going to open the figure after buying it at the mall. Although I’m pretty sure Yamaguchi collectors will attest to me saying not to do that, as you’ll lose everything lol!
Really don't like this figure. It just seems too clunky to work and the face sculpt is a bit too anime/asian to even resemble Magneto. I usually like yamaguchi stuff (the Spiderman, Deadpool and Wolverine figures were all interesting takes on the characters) but this almost looks like a street fighter character and not even remotely marvel/"comic-booky"
I think they pull a lot of influence from games and anime for these. It's even more apparent here because there's no mask covering the face, this is the first one we've gotten with a face and eyes.
The Fwoosh well the gwenpool had a face but now that I think about it, it kinda had the same problems as this in terms of the face and what not but oddly it still worked because the character kinda lends itself to the anime look if that makes sense? (Excessive pink, goofy character to begin with, etc.) At the end of the day what it comes down to for me is that I just don't think this Magneto really matches well with the Wolverine/other yamaguchi figures and seems too clunky as stated prior.
The Fwoosh not a hater for revol tho, i love the past releases from deadpool to wolverine hahah this one i don't think it fits revol style (sorry if my english was bad)
I really like to imagine a mr fantastic revoltech with interchangeable arms and legs
Gah, I didn't even consider any of the Fantastic Four either. Thing would look great too!
Cyclops would be fantastic but I really hope there will be an Amazing Yamaguchi Colossus .
Oh man, a Colossus would be very cool.
He looks like his straight out of the 90's. I think you sold me on trying to get this version of Magneto.
Damn that intro totally caught me off guard, not where I thought it was heading. Well played..
Heh, most of the time when I'm shooting I don't know where I'm heading either.
I got mine arriving in the next few days. Looking forward to it more after this review!

I can go on and on!
In the movie Age of Ultron Ultron has a dramatic line where he says something like "When I'm done, all that is living will be metal" so I was going for a nod to that line
Naaaah, why not bring his old comrade Titanium Man? They were the stars back then.
Because Ultron made the comment about metal lol
Pls don’t.
How about Metallica ? is it taken yet ?
We need a revoltech professor X with a revoltech joints loaded wheel chair😂
That magnetic effect with a real magnet on it is a brilliant idea.
Love the review as always though. By far the best in the community, thank you for all the amazing content and all that you do.
Very kind words, I appreciate it, man!
This was one of the best reviews you have done. Very nice 👍.
Thanks, I appreciate that!
His face looked funny when you were going through the articulation. Like he was saying ‘get your hands off me’
"Show me on the Magneto where the bad reviewer touched you!"
ROBO! THANK YOU! for putting out that you're interested in a cyclops!!! he my favorite x-men of all time and i appreciate a big toy reviewer bringing him up. which style of cyclops would you like to see? i dont think he would need many accessories but could you imagine the beam effects?

Larklan It is true then a cyclops with different beam effect could be nice but why not a iron man for go with the captain ?
awesome poses! so much fun posing! looking for cool metal objects he can hold. thx for the review!
Yeah, as annoying as the cape is, the figure overall is pretty dang fun to pose.
Great review brother!!! The into was hilarious. I do wish the cape was better but overall I think the figure looks great. I can't wait for mine to ship. It's the cape, makes you think Dr. Strange. And now Thor. Hmmmm.
+The Fwoosh HHMMMMM
Now I want Spawn.
Revoltech should have used a single cape piece, those multiple capes really grinds my gears, the rest of the figure looks awesome beside this "minor" problem.
Awesome Review, thanks Fwoosh!
Yeah, there comes a point when they should just say "Okay, enough is enough, no more articulation just for the sake of articulation, done."
great review as always Mr. Robo! I'm looking forward on capt. America Revoltech Review for you to review. :)
Yeah, this makes me even more excited for Cap.
Thanks man. You told me everything I wanted to know.
Awesome, glad I could help!
sweet , i love the fact they added that extra single joint for the arm, it'll make the figures less awkward i think lol. definitely gonna be using it for spider man
Awesome looking figure
If they were to go deeper into the X-Men, the firs three characters I’d love to see would be Beast, Psylocke and Nightcrawler (preferably all in Jim Lee style). I know it’s digging very deep into the lore but imagine revoltech Spiral and all the crazy poses you’d be able to pull off with a six armed character ;D
Spiral and a Mojo would be bought so fast from this line. But Nightcrawler and Beast are at the top of my list of main X-Men.
That intro....a laughed more than I expected!
I made myself giggle doing it, that's why the voices aren't quite as good as I think they could be.

I Like This video Good job Awsome Toy review And Merry Christmas

Magneto is one of the best villains in my book and I approve. 👍
I loved the master of metal intro! Fantastic! I am no revo fan and I agree the cape is hideous...that being said I think a revo spawn could work well
Oooo, Revo Spawn. I'd be all over that!
This is similar to the Revo Vader. Even the cape. They've come a looooong way on the paint jobs on Revos.
Is it strong enough to put it on my fridge
The figure is too heavy for that. With all that cape it's just too much.
Did you try and guess what I ate for dinner last night chimicanigas
I would like to see night crawler Gambit And Rouge and psylocke would be dope
Liam the nostalgic nerd nightcrawler would be a perfect fit!
Eduardo Falcão I know
Gambit and psylocke are officially out
Lol at the intro
That was some *heavy metal*
Why didn't they choose a cloth cape I just don't understand
+Web-Linez - Its simple to understand, Revoltech doesn't do cloth capes. They never have. Not all figure/toy companies deal with cloth goods. Bandai is just barely getting into it as theyre testing the reception of it with the recent figures.
a plastic cape is better if you plan to put your figures in dynamic poses
Better posing
Can you take the shoulder-cape-parts off for an all soft-goods cape?
They could probably be popped off.
Eric, the frontman for the metal band, Magnus.
Before his spiral into drugs and eventual rehab.
How hard is the helmet would you be able to heat it up and close it more because it flares out a little too much for me
It's made out of a fairly soft, rubbery material, so I don't think heating and reshaping would work.
In the order of how I like this line
6) Spider Gwen (From what I have seen as I do not own her yet)
5) Venom
4) Spider-Man
3) Magneto
2) Wolverine
1) Deadpool

The Fwoosh you better review that Punisher soon or you will miss out...
Stupid question but where'd the guitar in the beginning come from
It's from an old toyline called Resurrection of Monstress, this is Wolfinica's gear, if I remember right.
The Fwoosh thanks
Moon Knight would be a great candidate for this line imo
11:47 “Arrrgh those enchiladas....”
I dig the figure I kinda like the cape but it's too short and I think they did it so it looks like it's always flowing which I find annoying because you cannot put him in a vanilla pose or else the cape is going to look weird
Right, there is no at ease position for the cape. It will always look crazy and animated.
Im starting to wish revoltech would drop the revoltech joint gimic they make such great sculpts but they make me weep in a corner in the fetal position trying to pose them and sometimes just trying to get them to stand, these are amazing figures but..... and thats how i feel about them lol

You never bought the Revoltech Spider Gwen did you?
She is easily the most streamlined figure in this line.
Can't wait for the upcoming Carnage.
Yup, I took a quick look at her during a Figure or Fodder. Love her, I think she's more wallcrawley than Spidey, just look amazing in spider poses.
I don't think magnets mess up cards, phones or tvs anymore? They make magnetic phone cases that you can put your cards in.
Yeah, I'm an old man, I'm still gullible like that.
Sooo can the magnets hold my keyes? coz if yes then i might getting a new keyholder xD
Keys may be a little heavy, unless you only have a couple on the ring, heh.
I feel like it would have been hilarious for revoltech to release Magneto in a magnetic die-cast, meaning that he would stick to magnets...
Rellko They Need To Make Iron Man Die Cast Cuz You Can Stick Him To Magneto
This figures look amazing. There just not my style. Wouldn't mind getting one to check it out though.
Here hoping that they give us a Thunderbird because Hasbro is so adamant about giving us one
I NEED a Thunderbird in my life. Badly.
The Fwoosh I agree or a new Banshee
Uniball vs double ball..hmm
maybey a custom cape would be good for this figure.
Great review, you covered all your bases. I don't know if it's just me, but his skin tone seems a bit yellow. Almost looks like a Simpsons version of Magneto.
Yeah, I can agree, it does have a cartoonish kind of yellow tint to the skin.
Great cold opening!

Dude you're way too picky, besides that line is super stylized and is something you knew before hand. Either way, your opinion is yours and mine is mine. Keep up the good work broh!
FINALLY AYYYY
can't wait to see someone get rid of that horrible plastic cape and put a wired cloth one on
Don't know why they went back to those HORRENDOUS old swivel articulations... I was so hyped about the MARVEL line, but fuck that, I ain't buying an expensive figure that will become lose as all hell after a few poses.
he's a lil bow-legged, he's a lil awkward...well; dude is pushing 90 so makes sense haha we've all seen jerry stiller
Haha, true, true.
I always wondered what the point of this figure is. The figures are for really agile characters but magneto is only good for like 5 poses. Too much articulation for a character that doesn't need it.
Bryan Carter the point is a good Magneto in 6 inch scale. Easily beats both Marvel Legends.
Thanks so much for the review. I was highly anticipating this figure. I knew the cape would make or break it. After seeing those huge gaps, it's a deal breaker for me. Easy pass on this one.

Thor would be amazing!
Lmfrickingbutto....master of metal lol
How i wish they make a female mutant next
Marc Dancel i yup, would love to see a Psylocke or X-23 on this line!
Marc Dancel imagine a Rogue figure
Liam the nostalgic nerd What would be so great about a Rogue figure?
Daniel Craig I think it would be super cartoony she is like big anime eyes imagine that
X-23!!
He says saide to saide instead of side to side
Yeah, he does. What a hillbilly.
The Fwoosh hahahahahah
done been waiting for you to review this one. christmas has come early. and i'm jewish!
Whoa, that's saying a lot, thanks man!
And I thought play arts Kai had bad capes...
I think the “this is my home” bubble is like a breaking the 4th wall type of deal so it looks like Magneto is trying to the occupy the collector’s house for himself when you open the box at your home.

Eh.
Ay!
cape is a hot mess
Really don't like this figure. It just seems too clunky to work and the face sculpt is a bit too anime/asian to even resemble Magneto. I usually like yamaguchi stuff (the Spiderman, Deadpool and Wolverine figures were all interesting takes on the characters) but this almost looks like a street fighter character and not even remotely marvel/"comic-booky"

It would remind you of venom??? wtf you on about? cause of the size? something that vague? lol wtf
This is the worse action figure I have ever bought, kept on falling apart
nah not liking this one
Yeah, it's not for everyone. It's really a love it or hate it thing. Nothing wrong with that at all.
The Fwoosh not a hater for revol tho, i love the past releases from deadpool to wolverine hahah this one i don't think it fits revol style (sorry if my english was bad)
El tercero en comentar me parece una buena figura pero los revoltech no son mis favoritos.
