Pointy shoes cause bunions on women’s feet. I know; I used to wear pointy high heels a lot. Now I rarely do and, can barely walk in heels. Men get to wear shoes with enough room for their toes.
Secret I will share with all here 🥰’Pointy shoes 👠 have very narrow ‘toe box’. area so you will need to go 1/2 size larger to 1/4 depending on the shoe maker 🤩
After one excruciating foot and ankle repair, following 40+ years of heels and boots, payday had come. The other foot needs repair as well, but it's been 9 years since the procedure. Today, I'm facing double knee replacement as well. The shoes available today allow a wider toe box with a point. The rounded toe of these flats today are a big no-no. Not flattering on anyone. When buying a 1/2 size bigger, excellent gel orthotics help fill any gap at achilles tendon and cushion the flaming ball of your foot.
‘Men get to wear…’ ?? No one is forcing women to wear uncomfortable shoes 😆 chunky shoes can look great. I don’t think she’s really talking to over 50’s here. Is she over 50?
IKR?! I'm wondering if that would work now that I'm in my 60s and thicker through the middle than I used to be. If it's even doable, or if it might accentuate my bulging tummy!
True, better clothes cost more. We Americans have very unrealistically low ideas about how much clothes cost to produce because of decades of fast-fashion, cheap, badly-made polyester clothes. I only buy 100% natural-fiber, well-made clothes and yes, they cost three to four times more. But, they look three to four times better and last three to four times longer.🙂
@@KimberlyPerrotis Yes ! Excellent advice I already follow that colour palette I’ve often noticed in Calvin Klein , Boss, Tommy Hilfiger shops it’s not the quality of the clothes but the neutral palette that makes them seem more expensive when in reality the wool coats I find are very thin and poor quality .The only problem I have with pointy shoes is they add to your shoe size so make your feet look huge if your Uk 7 or 8 so I avoid them .Personally I love quality leather boots knee length in supple leather I think they look very elegant teamed with a beautiful fitted skirt or knit dress with a cowl neck and beautiful fitted wool coat . I stear clear of baggy clothes I don’t like the lagen look what is the point of being slim then hiding it in baggy clothes. @@joannaryan9805 Long pointed shoes make feet look narrower (I have wide feet) - nobody believes the real foot is that long , and elongate the leg visually. Neutral colors work well on a quality base (polyester neutrals ? No !)
Using correct words is an important part of appearing to be wealthy.. “Expensive” solely relates to a selling price, not the social status of a person. The correct word is wealthy. A human cannot “look expensive” unless they are for sale such as a slave, a prostitute, or an electrician in a Bentley

I agree about the shoes. A pointed toe, even in a sneaker or flat always looks more put together and elongates your legs and makes one look taller. Also, going with one color from head to toe and/or going with solids provides the same result.
Something else to think about, STOCKINGS! If you’re wearing a dress or skirt, you simply not dressed if you are wearing STOCKINGS! I don’t know when stockings became ‘Unfashionable’ but it’s tacky to go bare legged!

I do sometimes wear actual stockings, with knee garters, some days under my long winter dresses. Styles keep coming back after a few years or even decades. lol I’ve never liked pointy shoes. Very hard on my feet. Wearing just black around your face isn’t good for most older women, depending on their skin tones. Always wear something lighter in combination with the black. Add a light colored or multi colored scarf to soften the harshness of black
I’m not a big fan of t-shirts, but the alternative doesn’t always have to be a button-front woven shirt (although I do wear those a lot). My favorite, though, is something like a soft knit, collared, Polo “shirt”. A classic, pointed collar adds polish and highlights the face. Silk knit ones are my favorite, but are hard to find - Lily Silk has some, I wish they had more.
Ah, thank you so much for the tips you mentioned in the video! I hadn’t thought of a collared polo knit shirt as another alternative to a t-shirt. I do have one, but I rarely wear it-maybe it's because the fit of the one I bought isn’t quite right. I’ll definitely consider buying a better one to give it another try.😊👍 As for Carolina Herrera, I have to admit, she truly mastered this style, and it’s become a cornerstone of her design philosophy-classic and timeless.♥
Thank you so much for your feedback! Additionally, the fit and fabric of the shirt are also important, and adding a belt can help shape the silhouette.🤔🤔

Except for pointy shoes that my crippled feet can’t handle, good ideas.
Thank you for your feedback!😊🌹
@@libbycollins9349 This video is made for normal people. And maybe your feet are « crippled » because you wore low quality shoes and/or not the correct size ?
Adjusting the size to give additional space helps. I go up 1/2 size.
@And then you end up like poor Megan Markle, with shoes too big for you !!! Your size is your size (and it can be different according to the brand, like in clothing). Besides, not all shoe brands offer half sizes in Europe, and as as we are usually more « developed » as far as fashion goes…
Styles keep coming back after a few years or even decades. lol
I’ve never liked pointy shoes. Very hard on my feet.
Wearing just black around your face isn’t good for most older women, depending on their skin tones. Always wear something lighter in combination with the black. Add a light colored or multi colored scarf to soften the harshness of black
Agreed. Never, ever pointy shoes.
I’ll definitely consider buying a better one to give it another try.😊👍
As for Carolina Herrera, I have to admit, she truly mastered this style, and it’s become a cornerstone of her design philosophy-classic and timeless.♥
Crass, vulgar, coarse language (and even slang) definitely cause the speaker to appear uncouth.

I'd be frightened to look like Diane Keaton. Men describe her as dressing like a bag lady.
It sounds like you're referring to Diane Keaton's distinctive style, which often includes oversized clothing, layered looks, and accessories like hats, creating an unconventional, bohemian vibe. This look can sometimes be described as "eccentric" or "disheveled," but it is also a hallmark of her individuality and confidence.🥰

I will never buy pointy shoes again. I like my feet too much.
Yes, comfort is important too - your feet definitely deserve to be treated well. There are so many stylish options out there that are way kinder to your feet!😊♥
@@anitas5817 Buy good long pointed shoes and they will ne very kind to your feet.
Remember though that if you are quite petite, many of the wide, roomy trousers shown here will make you look shorter or ‘lost’ in the fabric, even if you do wear pointy shoes with higher heels. Also, many women like myself over 50 may be getting arthritis so high heels and pointy shoes may be off limits altogether.

@@FunkyPatriot Just the contrary as it makes the woman look fatter. Showing skin/leg does not make any woman look more youthful. Only more vulgar.
