The ending was really good, but honestly I was really impressed that they played fairly well for the entire first half of the game (obviously not perfect, but no major blunders).
Yeah looked like 1000s for 10-15 moves. Pretty crazy

The funniest part about that checkmate is I guarantee black looked at its pieces and said “what can I move” bc I’m a 300 and in that case I would just move any piece with no purpose and hope it works out so that was 100% an accidental checkmate

Some games I just had fun and would try everything. I think also some of the top payers miss this - when you start you have a lot of fun doing things you know you shouldn't just to see what happens

This was actually a very impressive and sophisticated game considering the players are literally 300s
right? to me, it felt like a regular 700 game with typical 1-2 blunders on both sides and relatively reasonable development :)

What a brilliant play by Black! They sacrificed everything, to deliver the mate with two pawns. Immortal game. Imagine Tal, Morphy, Carlsen or Nepo delivering such checkmate? The game would go into the 100 best chess games ever instantly.

Something like this happened to me actually at a chess tournament in Romania back in the day where I was COMPLETELY losing, the guy had a queen rooks knight and more pawns and I had 3-4 pawns and I checkmated him in the middle of the board with pawns because he blocked himself in, it was the best moment of my short lived chess career and the best part is that we were around 1000 elo him I think with even 200 points above me
