I would kill to see them live again. Some of the BEST live vocals I've ever seen. Most bands get a drop in vocal quality live, which is understandable... not crown the empire.. they are incredible and put on a hell of a show. If you haven't seen them live, you need to.
Lots of post production going on;) Richie definitely takes some artistic license with the tracks he's given which is great the mixes are fantastic, but maybe tooooo fantastic

My goal is always to get things as absolutely perfect as they can possibly be, so we always go to great lengths to get the audio sounding just right. Sometimes we'll literally go back and forth with 10-15 mixes, all with full lists of adjustments between every single mix.

I gotta say it, looking back at retrograde live shows-I think it’s pretty clear Hayden Tree was vibin every show. I could be trippin but it seems every show I watch Hayden is having the most fun smiling it up and everything. Even present day when they play “Zero” he’s always more hype than usual. Again could just be me but I thought it was a cool observation
I feel like Andy should sing more. That would allow Dave to be more focused and creative in his guitar playing instead of having to multitask. He sings / screams so much while playing guitar.
Kiliab Gonzalez he legit only scream/sang and played guitar on zero/hologram. Every other song he put the guitar down... I just wish they'd get a touring rhythm player so they could have a 2 guitar track the whole show. Nothing's wrong with Brandon being the only guitar track now that dave left the band.
I have a video of Volumes I'm working on, but unfortunately the audio quality isn't nearly as good as what I've normally been posting lately. The audio from the board had a bit too much reverb. Hopefully you guys will still like it though!
