I grew up on two strokes and I love them, the sound, smell and band is something you won't find on anything else
I just rebuilt my 2001 CR250R the other day for the 6000th time. I've got new bikes, but that bike is still my favorite. So light and perfect power in the woods and desert. Your right those bike can more than keep up with any of the modern bikes. Cheers!

so this Reimann is probably one of my favorites. he rides the big 4strokes but still appreciate the classics. I just got back in to riding after about 12 yrs off the bike, bought a 07 crf250 that now needs a motor after one season, pile of crap, however picked up 03cr125 and went frame off ground up only thing not changed or upgraded was swingarm, first ride last Sunday I'm 195lb and you can clutch the front tire up has a 134 kit in it and hinson clutch. I'll never not own a 2stroke again!
Obtained my 00' CR250R in 08.. She'll be with me forever, no intention of ever getting rid of it. I grew up on 2t so for me this vid hit home, can't wait for spring!

I got my first 2 stroke when I was 12. It was an 8 year old, 1996 McGrath cr250. And to this day I will always say that was my favorite bike and best bike I've owned. Yesterday I just went and re-bought her. The same bike from 15 years ago. I had the vin number and tracked her down in Michigan. I drove there from my house in NEPA. I will never let her go again. Luckily it seemed like the owners loved it as much as me. Just like I remember, it started on the first kick. I may have cried to see her again.
I'm 43 and started riding again 2 stroke 250 cr:s are the best bikes ever made once you have the addiction to the sound and pull of the bikes it never goes away....
I have a RM 250 of 1990 and i´m going to tell you... I have a Yamaha WR 450 too... but men i love the RM is so fun to ride it, so much power coming out of the little 250 engine... It never seems to want to stop... Ty for the video, big fan

There’s plenty of us in Cali . I can only afford two strokes . And a lot of people are happy when they see the bikes . It’s an old school thing . 2003 cr250 2002 cr125 . Medical bills and a big smile on my face .
After watching this I bought a 1999 CR250. It's my new project bike. I thank and blame Adam 😂
That is an awesome video. Inspired. I started my two wheel dirt days on an R1200GSA. Fudging love it, but ready for something a bit lighter n narrower n more capable of my progressing aggressive off road riding. 1090 or 1290 for adv. I have a 03 CR250 I bought new..I've had 2 different bikes sense 1 4st 1 ktm 300 2st I keep coming back to the 03 honda best bike I've ever had.
I love the fact you ride honda, ktm, 4 strokes and 2 strokes. I have a 2001 cr250r that is absolutely amazing, as well as a 2015 300xc. 2 strokes are definitely my preference.
Since when is 2007 old? I had a 1983 125 and it still ripped.
I have an 01'CR250R and at the ripe age of 47 I still put it through it's paces be it cross country or closed circuit all over the southeastern unites states. agreed - it's an addiction and it's been in my blood since my first CR in 1980 or 78' can't quite remember I'll til' my knees won't carry me any longer :-) thank you for the upload sir.
unibike69 I have a RM 250 I too am 47 and I love it I can t get enough of it. glad to see I am not the only crazy old man wanting to ride . its hard to find guys my age that ride . Cool video and I built my own clamps to get the dents out of my exhaust too. lol

When I was about 10 yrs old we were at Livingston State Forest many will know this place near Wagga saw my first CR250 when a guy got on the pipe up through a gully roosted like 10 meters in the air amazing was hooked ever since. Picked up a 2001 CR250 yesterday.

That pipe did look amazing but I thought you could get the equivalent of a mid-90’s works pipe for like $250 these days. Maybe he wanted to keep it as original as possible and keep the original pipe.
I got it so bad.....! Bought a 99 CR250R about 3 months ago, now I have 3 of them! One 99 and two 2000 models. When the one is ready the other is stripped to guts. Got to love the CR250R. I never knew this bike was really that good.
I must admit, I almost got misty eyed seeing that 2stroke CR receiving all that love! Great to see people still enjoying the older 2 strokes! I still have my '93 CR250 from back in my racing days!

I seriously want a cr 250. I have a 2016 crf 450 and i LOVE IT but at the same time 2 strokes are just so much fun in their own way. I personally wouldn't race one but they are great bikes to learn on and to rip around on.

I have an 02 and I’ve just started riding... only taken that bike out twice and I think I’m addicted... I usually ride a CRF230F but that CR250R is a whole other machine.
Velocity disorder is literally the best way to sum up that bike lol I’m definitely gonna use that saying more!

Ruben Solano do you have any problems with the carb or powervalve? I'm getting a 03 and I've seen vids of power valve problems. I've also heard that the carb is sooo hard to jet properly. Is this true?

There is just so much more fulfillment bringing an older bike back from the dead. Sure you can buy a new bike, but when you revive one you make it your own. It feels special.

I have built one of the nastiest off road machines with a fram up RM 250 project after motor build number 3 I was finally satisfied. It was a stump pulling beast that had the legs on any stock 450. The RM chassis is still the best turning bike I have ever ridden and tight and technical ridding it's like a mountain bike.Even put my yz250 build to shame. But now I'm ready to build a cr250r off road machine but the latest model I can find has been a 2003 what's the best year to start with?

If I could offer any feedback other than praise from one video editor to the next, is please please render/upload in 1440p. The bit rate cap on RUclips is capped on 720 and 1080p videos and is only pushed higher when one uploads in 1440p or greater. Even if your source is lower, the videos will see a substantial increase in clarity with the addition of a higher upload resolution. As always, keep on producing and more importantly, keep riding. hey mate!!!,,,,,,i had one of these!!,,,,fitted an fmf fatty pipe to it,with power core 2 silencer ,,fitted a vortex dual ignition curve to it,,,, primary curve ashkanazi,,fast!!,,,,,,second curve broad for enduro,,,,racetech gold valves on the front end,,,,,..best bike i have ever ridden!!!!,,,,,could lift the front end in any gear,,,,,,am currently riding a 2016 ktm 250 exc ,,,,,trying to get it to do the same thing!!!,,,,too much top end!!!!

Good afternoon Adam. If it's not too much trouble replying, I'd truly appreciate it.
I started on a 125cc 4-stroke bike, low-level enduro, pretty awesome trails but spent twice the regular amount of time to get through since my 125cc didn't have the power to climb stones and hills..
I sold it and I'm going to buy a new bike, but I'm stuck between a few choices..
CRF250L, TTR 230, XTZ 250... those are the 4-strokes I will probably be able to afford.
But.. a 250 two stroke is tempting... a lot. Either a Husky TE250 or an old CR250R.. I'm not sure. The temptation is huge, but I'm not sure whether the power delivered by a 250 two stroke will be handeable for someone who comes from a 125cc 4 stroke.
i was waiting for the cr250r again reminds me of my old one now i only ride a 125

Bad ass video, I have an 02 CRF450r and everyone thinks its brand new because the guy I got it from put a ton of money into it, I've also added quite a few things. So yeah, you can have an older frame, and make it look sweet, but it ain't cheap its for the love of the sport.
