The “AI” (アイ) has a double meaning: “I” in English which means “myself” and “AI” (愛) in Japanese which means “love”. So the lyrics part “AI ha makenai” basically means “myself and love will not lose”
Try the last three songs on Cluppo's Hatofull EP- FuwaFuwa, Voice and Super Star. They are fantastic. This song was written as an end theme for the anime Smile of the Arsnotoria which came out 3 days ago.
Our little paradise pigeon is always good for a surprise, isn't she? I like this song, even if it's a bit more melancholic than what you're used to from her. _____________________ 「 _'Our rock never dies ever. Forever!'_ 」 --- from *BAND-MAID* 'Manners' 🕊️
Miku, the clever lyricist, often uses words that is Japanese but can sound English in many of their songs. In this case AI is a Japanese word for Love and is pronounced like the word I. So in one line she's able to say Love will not lose and I will not lose. The Anime producers who commissioned this song was very prescriptive and detailed from the beginning on how they wanted it to sound. Miku said that one of the hardest thing for her in this song was to sing as softly as possible since in Band-Maid she's focused on singing more powerfully so as to be heard over all the instruments. The short TV version with the anime video ( ruclips.net/video/PztDR2TxDq4/видео.html ) shows this song matches well with the theme.
The song makes much more sense if you realise it was written for an anime. Take a look at the anime ending version, it fits it perfectly. It's a big thing for a Japanese artist to get an anime commission, I'm really happy for our little pigeon! As others have said you need to check out 'Voice', 'Superstar' and FuwaFuwa' off her EP, they are widely regarded as the best Cluppo has done (so far).
@@espereactions2 Anime opening and closing themes tend to have distinct sounds. Opening themes are usually high energy (think "Sense" or "Different"), while closing credit themes tend to be airy, laid back songs.
Love Miku, her creativity, energy and business sense. Like the quality of music and MV production values. Appreciate her Cluppo songs, lyrics and singing. Tolerate her Cluppo genre. But it's all beyond good because she's the founder Maid and a super Band-Maid performer, guitarist, vocalist and lyricist.
I get that some punters don't particularly like Cluppo and it is a big contrast to Band Maid but I dare anyone to honestly challenge this musicians talent, drive, commitment, creativity and spirit, I farking adore Miku, she is an everyday inspiration and her solo work is a delightful addition to my music world, Onya Miku you are a legend, peace and love Po 👍🎼🥁🎸🎤🍻
Nice reaction man. This song is the ending theme for a new anime called "Smile of the Arsnotoria the Animation". I highly recommend checking out the rest of the 3 songs from her EP (Hatofull) that came out. The songs are Voice, Superstar, and FuwaFuwa. IMO these 3 are the best songs from the EP.
Cluppo said she had to change the style of the voice to fit the style and song. I think she said this was filmed at the same time as POGO at the beginning of the year when it was cold. She seems very proud that Cluppo and not The Maids were asked to write a song for the anime this is for.
Miku can do no wrong, PO. I bought the single (a hassle with it being Japan only) and have listened to it a lot over the past couple of days. It has a catchy beat and a very hummable melody. Best not to think too hard about the lyrics, I'm sure it loses a lot in translation. And no, the AI in the lyrics isn't about Artificial Intelligence.
Great stuff, Scottie! cluppo has three songs that don't have MVs but are on YT music, "FuwaFuwa", ""voice" and "Superstar", all wildly different from the ones you covered already. I think you'll like them. 😉
I WAS going to type the following warning: "Do NOT listen to this song multiple times! It will grow on you like a particularly sweet, totally non-lethal weed." But, alas, I see I'm too late... 😁 I HIGHLY recommend the three audio only tracks from the Cluppo's Hatofull EP: "Fuwa Fuwa", "voice", and "Superstar". They're all awesome. Thanks ESPE! 🕊

Kobato does that a lot on Band-Maid songs. That part is one of the reason i admire her.
I was going to attempt an explanation for"AI" but yours is, I think, much clearer..thanks. Now, what happened to my Pigeon emoji ?)🎴

FuwaFuwa is my favorite off the EP. :)
Cluppo cuteness overload! Love this song!

Voice is fantastic with a lot of emotion to it.
It's on my playlist. I really like the cadence she uses. Pleasing to the ear.

Yeah, I don't know much about anime. I think I'll check some out for my movie/tv reaction channel!

AI means love according to google
