Actual vocal chameleon. I honestly wish I ever had some constructive criticism to offer but this is honestly as good as it could possibly be in my eyes. Great work man.

That’s exactly it. When ever I listen to a cover, I try to never look at who’s actually singing. That’s why people who sing from their souls have their eyes closed. It’s a feeling. A vibe. Growing up in the 80s, every one had mtv. We did too but weren’t allowed to watch it. (Not cuz of Jesus, but rather my dad controlled the remote and would rather watch Benny hill than music). Well, we only had radio, we couldn’t see the music, we felt it. I felt this and most of his covers. Train is the only band that I could close my eyes and see Led Zeppelin, Robert Plant singing. Like it or not, in 99 out of 101 bands, the vocalist is the front man. Is THAT. Voice. Surge hits the mark 99/101 times and this was one.

omfg man ... that was sooooooo good. I mean, NAILED IT .... that was really really good. I actually closed my eyes and my brain was just not red flagging your efforts. Means you were super close in cadence and the emotional nuances of the original and you really really hit close to David Bowie's voice but retained enough originality to call this your own. That was one of the best covers ever. Damn near shocked.

I remember going to see Bowie on his Serious Moonlight tour back in 1982. Great concert, but when I got back to my car afterwards, someone had smashed my window and stolen my radio. Kinda put a damper on the evening.

A dead on perfect David Bowie! I know the only reason you sang it a little bit slower was so people wouldn’t accuse you of lip syncing. But what you have here is almost identical to how Bowie sang this live in concert. He never sang it like the studio either but man you definitely have the natural vocal timber to do a Bowie.
