You totally nailed it. Blackmore is my favorite guitarist and this is my favorite solo. I always listen to it with my jaws dropped. I don't know what scares me more, that he worked it out or that he improvised it. God, how does he do it? How does he weave such musical tale againt the background of a sinle note for that many bars? A true maestro.

awesome....this guy nailed it. a very tough solo to play and to play with the correct vibe..2nd best blackmore solo (Child in TIme Made In Japan No. 1 IMHO....Satsuma-san is my go to when i'm stuck.....but ----- and i HATE to be a kiljoy but i think the riff @ 4:51-4:52 does not appear in the song that way......

Man, that's a tough solo because it just sort of wanders around telling it's own story within the song, but Satsuma-san nails it as always.
この曲を友人宅で聞いた四十数年前の衝撃を思い出しました。それ以来、何千回聴いたかわかりませんが、わたしの耳には細かい手クセや偶然っぽいフレーズまで「完コピ」！に思えました。
触発されて自分でも十数年ぶりに薩摩さんの演奏を参考に弾いてみましたが、長時間のシンプルなストロークは維持できず、ローフレットのチョーキングで指先は痛むはとボロボロでした。
それでもギターを弾く楽しみを数十年ぶりに思い出せました。素晴らしい演奏ありがとうございました。
