I have been watching you for about 2 years and I do outside sales. There are a lot of psychological tips and tricks I have learned throughout the years. I have one tip that I would recommend that I don't see you use, but I may be wrong. When you make an offer on an item especially when it's a big amount, like you did for the camera items. Take the cash amount out of your wallet while you make the offer and have it in front of them to see. You are more likely to get your price and close the deal, especially if they are asking for a higher amount. If they decline your offer then put your money back in your wallet and walk away. There is a trigger in the brain that can make the seller feel like you are taking their money away. This technique is called the "take away" or "give-take". Try it out and I hope it helps. Happy Hunting.
Another trick I like to do is, if they counter a higher offer than I want to pay I’ll say “sorry, I’m gonna have to leave it here with you for that amount” That makes the seller realize that they don’t in fact want to keep the item or drag it back inside and deal with it later 👍
@scrappinfam12 It works even better if you take the cash out and motion as if you are going to hand the money to the seller before they respond with an answer and take the money back if they don't accept your offer. I have been in sales for over 30 years and I have used various techniques like these to close deals.
Really loved the blue decanter set!! ❤❤️❤️ I didn’t see the shelves your wife bought tho. I’m surprised those games went for as low as they did at the sales. Good luck on your resales. ✌🏼
Earlier this year, I was on a flea market with my mother and grand mother. My GM saw a couple of flower vases, asked for the price. They asked 10€ for them so she bought them. We go on to the next sellers and a guy comes up to us and asks my GM if she would sell the vases to him. He's collecting them. Says they are "Valauris" vases. She kindly refuses as she likes them. The guy says, I give you 500€... My GM is like "Ahhh.. but I like them". My mother got angry with her and sais "WTF are you talking about! H'es offering you 500€!! Give him the vases!". XD She took the money in the end. Fastest flip ever.
Gah-docks. You were right the second time. Very good secondary brand similar to Photoflex. Good show. Loved that weird building near the end. What was that? A UFO? 😅
Woah that’s weird! I was at a yard sale yesterday filming with my GoPro and a guy also said to me “what are you like, Gary Vee?” I had never heard of him until then and now on your video lol
🤯🤯🤯What was the double space ship looking building??? I'm 72 years old and the movie "The Day the Earth Stood Still" came up in my feed th other day. Michael Rennie is one of my favorite actors . I watched it and realized I HAD NEVER SEEN IT BEFORE!!! It is as appropriate today as it was before I was born!!!💥💥💥🌎🌍🌏🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
New watcher. Glad u bought a Barbie. I recently bought 12 fancy gowns barbie doll. Some boxes not good but dolls very nice. Gonna resell dolls w good boxes. Gonna put others in gift box for my seven y/o granddaughter Christmas gift. I paid $40 for all to a family member. Win win
To that guy at the yard sale, it basically goes: Gary V. and then Mr. and Mrs. Pro Picker right underneath. Then, way way way below that is Cincinnati Picker and Commonwealth Picker.
@@propicker I know. I'm just joking because they are. Cincinnati Picker actually got me into reselling. I was being lazy one Saturday and binging RUclips videos. I came across a Cincinnati Picker video and got sucked in and binged his videos the rest of the day. Then, I decided to try it myself, and to summarize, Cincinnati Picker is the reason I can't sleep in on Saturdays.
I understand the RUclips income is nice, and others can learn from these videos such as myself. But I really wish the RUclips resellers would not take their cameras to yard sales, because this is exactly what happened with the thrift stores. The thrift stores started realizing what was happening because of the cameras and phones and then started raising prices and creating their own eBay accounts to resell the good stuff before it hits the floor. Come on RUclipsrs, you have to realize that you are slowly putting yourself out of business just like the thrift stores have been doing slowly over time.
I'm on year 4 of doing this whole RUclips thing. I keep finding better and better stuff as time goes on. There's literally so much stuff in the U.S. and so many opportunities to buy.
Thrift stores maybe but garage sales will mostly stay the way they are. People just want to make a quick buck and sell stuff. People who have high prices spend days to never sell there stuff because reseller help the sell so they can enjoy there weekend.
Idk how you profit! You have been paying up a lot. Please don't work too hard and burn out! I'd be so scared all the stuff doesn't work, but that's why you're the Pro! I bought a scope for $50 for personal eBay prices like $150 and checked it out at the sale, but didn't notice there was dust inside until I used it for like month.
Yeah, there's a little bit of risk with the photography lot. But, we thankfully have enough margin to pad if something doesn't work out and still make some money.
Burn out is a real thing I went thrifting all memorial weekend Thursday through sunday I'm locking up myself in the house tomorrow and just watching movies with my wife all day,u definitely need that chill time.
to be honest Dustin, I wouldn't go for any video game when priced at a few dollars if its less than 15 bucks on eBay with free shipping. with bays 13.25% fees, shipping fees, and the cost for the game you're only making a few bucks
Ill take 20-30 few extra dollar sales just from games weekly because it does a few things. Im a parttime reseller and it spurs the algorithm for listings which in turn creates more sales on my other items. Secondly, that amount makes my car payment.
@@propicker Should of been on another channel. Don't know how it ended up on your channel. I finished watching your video then went to another channel to watch the live stream and it ended up on both channels. This was definitely not a repeat!
These people running Garage sales are independently rich or just give stuff away? The work setting up and hanging out all day for No Money being made is Foolish or people want to visit with complete strangers?! Example Female Nike shoes look new One Dollar?
A lot of people value decluttering more than squeezing every dollar out of their items. Not everyone is a seller/reseller & thinks as such. Most people just want to make space in their houses and don’t have the time to sell for maximum dollar, humans have families and responsibilities that are more important than a pair of nikes.
Yard sales can be fun for people, and a good way to declutter and get rid of used items that other people might like. Letting some old shoes go for a dollar that you aren't using could be the only way someone can afford Nike's. Its the point of going to yard sales for people that aren't resellers. Can find some really good deals and I've had people just give stuff away towards the end of the day.
