I can understand wanting the items you sell to go to people who want them and not to be flipped. See what resellers have done to the shoe and trading card industry or even vintage clothing stores. If the video before and in had 50,000 views but then the second had 54,000 views, it is suggestive that the title brought in 4k views not the 50k views, obviously that would be better judged over a longer sample, but I didn't feel the urge to check - more than happy to if it helps?

If he want's to sell his stuff at re-seller prices that is his right, and it's also Pro Pickers choice to not buy the items he is selling. So, there is no reason for him to act that way. If P.P asked him to sell something at a lower price, all he has to say is that he is firm at that price and P.P can move on to the next sale. It's simple logic lol.

I sell on eBay and a couple times I would ask if there is a lesser price and someone told them I was an eBay seller and the that seller would turn down offers yet as I look at other items they sold another person the same item at a lower price. I did ask why they wouldn't sell it to me for the lower price they responded-- "because you are going to resale it"! WOW what logic!

If someone doesn't like resellers buying and selling their things, they shouldn't sell them at a garage sale. They can go through the work(time to find/buy/clean/photograph/list /package/take to shipper, shipping materials cost, shipping fees, ebay/merchant fees, etc) to list it themselves.
Growing up with a garage sale loving mother, she would spend the time Friday for a couple hours scouring the newspaper and writing down each sale she wanted to go to, then rearrange in order of when they start then in order or driving route, then half a morning going through garage sales for things she totally didn't need and would end up in her own garage sale 2 years later. 😂 Just that was work and she wasn't a resaler.
People are definitely allowed to have garage sales and are definitely allowed to be selective on who they sell to. Thinking your giving someone a good deal on something they need or want and them putting it for sale right after is basically a slap in the face.
@@staygold902 If you care more about getting it to someone who needs it, it could be donated. Clothing, shoes, etc can go to women leaving domestic violence who leave with nothing. Homeless shelters could also use those items. VHS and movies can go to old folks homes and to youth programs. Afters school youth programs could also benefit from sporting items and video games. There's a place for everything. Also, the idea of resellers is that these items DO get a second home. They make sure someone is using it. I couldn't tell you how many times I have heard people at garage sales say everything needs to go, they sell for little because anything that isn't sold is going to the dump. So resellers are saving these items also from going to the landfill and becoming waste.
I'm guessing he has seen you around town and is salty that you picked up some stuff he wanted at some point. You are probably more memorable than other shoppers since you're wearing a camera. That being said, my golden garage sale rule when I'm having one is "You can only sell it once". I price it at what I price it at. If I'm firm on a price, I say so. If not, I'll bargin. It's not the buyers responsibility to make sure I get what I want out of an item. You reacted perfectly. Why waste your time somewhere that the host doesn't want your business? His loss.

Seriously if they want full market value, then go to the trouble of cleaning, photographing, listing, packing, shipping, etc, etc. If you don't want to do those things, then expect to get below market. All the reseller hate, ummm the person having the yard sale is doing that exact thing first. I'd much rather see someone like P.P. putting in the effort, then see one of those just sponging off those whom work for a living. Depending on sales (of any kind from Corp to picker) for your livelihood is a tough task.

No one twists their arm to accept his offer and he’s very polite. I think sometimes other resellers honestly just get mad when they see you make any amount of profit off of them, but as long as they're making money or getting what they're asking for it shouldn't make a difference. Either way, people like that will always remain less successful than those who are more open to others.
I think the consensus is pretty obvious and no need to talk about someone that doesn't matter. I would rather talk about how fair, honest, kind, considerate, and great both Dustin and Jess are. Its amazing how many people are offended by resellers. They think its like scamming or dishonest. Everyone knows garage sales are a way to get rid of stuff FAST without throwing it away, not a way to get the most money possible out of your things, thats why its cheap. If you're ANGRY someone else is taking the time you didn't want to take to get full value out of your stuff, maybe just take the time to do it yourself. I cannot understand the issue at all.

I don't have anything to sell, so I watch these videos. Reminds me when I was married & participated with a local citywide event once a year. That was fun. Always made money. Now there is no opportunity, so this is ok to watch, am glad I don't have to go through selling anything anymore.

We were given a stack of Tupperware hamburger makers when a camp was closing down. We make them in bulk and freeze them. Seriously simple. Love seeing your finds.

I'm a reseller, and I do a garage sale about every yr, and I know that the prices you ask for at your garage sales are totally different than what you ask for on eBay. If a reseller wants to buy my stuff, I'd be happy. The only thing I wouldn't want is for people to be super disappointed if everything was gone.

I use to have a couple of resellers I would call when I had to much glass or stereo equipment.
So many crabby folks, we went live on Whatnot at a flea market In Vermont. Had buyers wanting to buy Morgan dollars and some marbles from a vendor. Vendor looks at me and says, nope I refuse to sell to internet people, and then proceeded to talk smack rest of time we were there. We were there to help vendors move items s at not cost to us. Oh, ok. I watch and learn as I sell out of my home and garage. I see what to continue with or not to continue with. Resellers are always welcome to buy and we can negotiate a fair price if they want something that can make us both hapoy. I'm not going to sell a sold comp item for 2.00 when it's a 50.00 comp sold. Yes, even we garage sale people know how to look items up. I've been having sales and success long before video of eBay resellers took over. Great for them to make money. I choose to too just at home. I will not allow video as I see that if it's a jab to another person's sale for what thry are pricing or not high or low just to make fun of them or berate them is what I don't luke. I enjoy the positive side of resellers videos and what they find. You can leave out the other. So people watch for learning and other. I'm not here for people at that sales to be berated for whatever their reasons may be. Those video can be left out. Why show it? Move on to the next sale like you did and not show the video. I'm not shady or schetch and I won't allow any video taping on my property at my sales.

Homeless shelters could also use those items. VHS and movies can go to old folks homes and to youth programs. Afters school youth programs could also benefit from sporting items and video games. There's a place for everything. Also, the idea of resellers is that these items DO get a second home. They make sure someone is using it. I couldn't tell you how many times I have heard people at garage sales say everything needs to go, they sell for little because anything that isn't sold is going to the dump. So resellers are saving these items also from going to the landfill and becoming waste.
And conversely…. people who don’t want to sell for less because they looked up the items worth and expect to sell for that much at a garage sale.
I'm guessing he has seen you around town and is salty that you picked up some stuff he wanted at some point. You are probably more memorable than other shoppers since you're wearing a camera. That being said, my golden garage sale rule when I'm having one is "You can only sell it once". I price it at what I price it at. If I'm firm on a price, I say so. If not, I'll bargin. It's not the buyers responsibility to make sure I get what I want out of an item. You reacted perfectly. Why waste your time somewhere that the host doesn't want your business? His loss.
I never understood the reason someone wouldn't want a reseller at their yardsale. Who cares who buys it and what that person does with it. People are crazy!
Seriously if they want full market value, then go to the trouble of cleaning, photographing, listing, packing, shipping, etc, etc. If you don't want to do those things, then expect to get below market. All the reseller hate, ummm the person having the yard sale is doing that exact thing first. I'd much rather see someone like P.P. putting in the effort, then see one of those just sponging off those whom work for a living. Depending on sales (of any kind from Corp to picker) for your livelihood is a tough task.

I think sometimes other resellers honestly just get mad when they see you make any amount of profit off of them, but as long as they're making money or getting what they're asking for it shouldn't make a difference. Either way, people like that will always remain less successful than those who are more open to others.
I think the consensus is pretty obvious and no need to talk about someone that doesn't matter. I would rather talk about how fair, honest, kind, considerate, and great both Dustin and Jess are. They've never scammed or deceived anyone into selling something for less. It's obvious that you both are above nonsense and so gracious. Excellent job as always.

Its amazing how many people are offended by resellers. They think its like scamming or dishonest. Everyone knows garage sales are a way to get rid of stuff FAST without throwing it away, not a way to get the most money possible out of your things, thats why its cheap. If you're ANGRY someone else is taking the time you didn't want to take to get full value out of your stuff, maybe just take the time to do it yourself. I cannot understand the issue at all.

We were given a stack of Tupperware hamburger makers when a camp was closing down. We make them in bulk and freeze them. Seriously simple. Love seeing your finds.

I'm a reseller, and I do a garage sale about every yr, and I know that the prices you ask for at your garage sales are totally different than what you ask for on eBay. If a reseller wants to buy my stuff, I'd be happy. The only thing I wouldn't want is for people to be super disappointed if everything was gone.

Was that boom box at the sale with the nativity for sale? That guy was kind of special. I wouldn't mind if other resellers came to my garage sale. They are there to buy and anything I would have in a garage sale would be stuff I don't feel like listing of don't want to ship. I use to have a couple of resellers I would call when I had to much glass or stereo equipment.
There was a section of the garage they weren't selling. If it was the opposite wall I didn't even look at it.
So many crabby folks, we went live on Whatnot at a flea market In Vermont. Had buyers wanting to buy Morgan dollars and some marbles from a vendor. Vendor looks at me and says, nope I refuse to sell to internet people, and then proceeded to talk smack rest of time we were there. We were there to help vendors move items s at not cost to us. We were moving items s to network with folks....NOTE TO SELF coin seller at Newfane Flea Market is a crab apple. ✌🏻💚🙏🏻

It’s so weird. People that don’t like you watch your channel, how else could he know who you are? People truly love to hate. He was probably hoping to sucker people into buying his junk and if he saw a knowledgeable reseller there, it could potentially ruin his attempt.
That also makes no sense since he sets the prices on all the items for anyone who comes in and resellers would simply pass up on the items if priced too high. Oh, ok. I watch and learn as I sell out of my home and garage. I see what to continue with or not to continue with. Resellers are always welcome to buy and we can negotiate a fair price if they want something that can make us both hapoy. I'm not going to sell a sold comp item for 2.00 when it's a 50.00 comp sold. Yes, even we garage sale people know how to look items up. I've been having sales and success long before video of eBay resellers took over. Great for them to make money. I choose to too just at home.
I will not allow video as I see that if it's a jab to another person's sale for what thry are pricing or not high or low just to make fun of them or berate them is what I don't luke. I enjoy the positive side of resellers videos and what they find. You can leave out the other. So people watch for learning and other. I'm not here for people at that sales to be berated for whatever their reasons may be. Those video can be left out. Why show it? Move on to the next sale like you did and not show the video. I'm not shady or schetch and I won't allow any video taping on my property at my sales.
