Very good question, if you ever get the answer will you please post it or send it to me. I saw another post that shows he said 50/50 1:1, I'm just guessing that you should be able to neutralize it by washing it if with water? Also, I'm pretty sure the acid can be bought at a pool supply store or home depot. I've heard of people buying it at home depot to clean stuff off of rocks to get to fossils. I don't know how long to let it sit before spraying it off, I know if you let your rocks sit in it over night you'll lose everything which is why I use vinager. I'm hoping my John Deere has enough metal in it to fiberglass and then Bondo.
@@dog0311 Yes he did say he mixes it 50/50 but when you go to buy HCL there are various strengths of HCL available. Most HCL available already comes pre-diluted to varying degrees. I just did a quick and dirty restore on my own deck but used rust sealer instead of removing the rust. Scrape paint/little grinding/rustoleum rust sealer-primer/paint/clear-coat. Will let you know in a year if it works. One thing, whether you do this video way or what I did, the rust leaves a lot of pitting and bumps that doesn't go away even if you remove the rust. If I had it to do over again I would have applied several coats of filler primer on top of the rust sealer-primer and sanded to smooth out the bumps at least on the underside of the deck. even with paint and clear coat the rust pits and bumps let grass stick to it. The clear coat and paint definitely help me to clean it off easier and protect from future rust but a smooth surface on the underside would have been much better in hindsight.
Muriatic acid is a form of hydrochloric acid, which has a pH of about 1 to 2. The only differences between hydrochloric acid and muriatic acid are purity
I had a go at this today.
It works incredibly well. I wish I had known this tip before I wasted all that time and electricity wire brushes.
Might just bath my whole Ute in this stuff 😂
I think the grass die after few days. It's already yellow.
It sure did, but it came back just fine.
I thought hydrocholoric acid is corrosive? What is the concentration percentage? It the Muritic acid you put in the pool?
Would this work on fella hay cutter blades?
What was the original strength of HCL before you diluted it? Do you have to neutralize it or clean it after you treat with the HCL?

Respectfully, the acid did little to help your lawn.
What mixture did you use 1:1 I haven't ever worked with hydrochloric acid before.
50% water, 50% Acid
What strength hydrochloric acid?
What is the mix again?
50% hydrogloricacid and 50% water
I can’t find Hydrochloric acid but only muriatic acid… is it the same thing?
I don't think so. Most hardware's, or pool shops will gave it

crappy video !!
You good?
