Thank you for posting so many great shows. Maybe you could tell me something. I spent some time as a recording engineer back in the audio tape era. This program sounds like it was taped from the original transcription discs and then digitized from tape that had degraded some. Nice job getting it done and posted just the same. Just thought it might explain some of the high frequency warble.
Your explanation makes sense. Jack Benny kept a collection of the original disks at his home, and it makes sense that at some point after his death, these were transferred to tape. The discs may have been played on a conventional record player during the transfer which can damage the disc grooves and add distortion.
