Casey, I use those insulated bags for shopping days. I fill with ice, water abd good to go without going home to put away due to the Florida heat. Always good to have in the car 🚗.
Kyle, you stayed at Shades of Green last year. You did a blog. One of your stream followers that serves in military gifted your a one night staycation. Rooms were Ramada Inn quality and needed 100% updating.
Used to hit Avocado Grill in Celebration but lately been going to Pei Wei on 192 instead. Also Flippers Pizza!! For Kyle's golf adventure, Celebration golf course is fantastic and on GolfNow they have a deal for free lunch for FL residents. Course was co-designed by famous architects Robert Trent Jones Sr & Jr.
Just booked a stay in January 2024 here. Just to clarify since Kyle doesn’t seem very knowledgeable on the resort since he isn’t military. Any active or retired military, 100% disabled vet or even just honorably discharged vet can book here. It’s very very affordable, cheapest room rate is currently $174. The only problem is you usually have to book a year in advance because the rooms are so cheap and sell out fast. It’s a very nice resort and counts as a Disney resort so you still get early entry and they provide transportation to the parks or springs. Usually to an area where you can hit up the monorail or other Disney transportation.
We love Shades of Green! One of the best benefits of our military service. We stay other places on Disney property, but every time we stay at Shades we ask ourselves, "Why do we ever stay anyplace else?" It's so beautiful, peaceful and relaxing.
I called Firstmate Harper in to see Casey get her cards. You must have given her the "Just Chicken In" birthday card with the Ironman stickers off camera.
We love Shades of Green! My Dad is retired Army, Vietnam Veteran. We stay at Shades every chance we get. Such a nice place. Yes, the rooms are a little dated but huge! This property prior to DOD purchased was a deluxe Disney resort! We love to walk over to Polynesian to take monorail. They have a walk way at Polynesian that shows the way back to shades!
I didn't ever Tink about it probably because I've always had an AP & DVC but my dad is a veteran! I need to do my research on it and see if he can get things cheaper with a military discount!
@@peaceful525 yes, I think it was only one side like the Palm or Magnolia. Even with the refurbishment my opinion still remains that they are dated. I love them though! I always choose Shades.
Now that the walk way to the Poly from Shades is closing permanently at the end of the month I will pass on Shades of green. That was such a plus to be able to walk to poly to get to the monorail😫😫😫
Get your right hip to turn back behind your body, less of the right hip going up. This leads to a slide going back, need hips to work more in a circle around your body. Pretty good swing! Need more golf content
Retired military we stay at Shades of Green often. You can walk to the Polynesian from Shades. Rooms are a bit outdated but price is great for military families being so close to the top resorts & monorail loop. For us we stop and show our military ID on entrance , even walking in on sidewalk. Rooms are big. Also I did get my annual pass again on 4/20 waited 6:30a-11:30a! I am from New England now a long time Floridian.. looks like enjoyed your Lobstah. 😁
Yes, bought an AP. Will not let it skip again. Anyway, as an FYI, Disney spent over $1.3B upgrading their systems, connecting them with easier access for Castmembers. Their app/site receives over 1M hits per second. But, sure, they could better prepare, but they didn’t know the response would be what it was.
Thank you so much for posting vlog from a little bit of the Shades of Green. My uncle is in the military so the only two times I've been to Disney, we stayed there with my cousins. I havent been since 2012 and seeing the different areas brought me so much nostalgia. My mom was peering over my shoulder as we discussed different memories we had in the different areas. I still can't believe they have that Mickey photo op in the lobby! I think one of my moms favorite family pictures was with that Mickey!
Buy some golf shoes, it will give you better traction which turns into more power and accuracy. It also looked like your clubs were a little short for you. If you buy clubs spend the money to get fit properly as it will pay off for years to come. It was the best investment I ever made. Keep practicing.
I worked at WDW on the Jungle Cruise back in the 1970s when the Magic Kingdom was the only theme park there and there were only two hotels, the Polynesian Hotel and the Contemporary Hotel. (Guests back then always used to ask "Why did they build a temporary hotel?" Where is the permanent one going to go?) This hotel was the third Disney Hotel built on the property in 1974 (I think) and the first golf course, too. They had PGA Championship games here every year. Disney sold this resort to the US Government who bought it for the military. The neat thing about it is that the low-ranked enlisted members get priority over officers to stay there, and the rates for enlisted people are very inexpensive. Tickets to the parks are discounted, too. I was in the US Navy Submarine Service and used to take advantage of every military-discounted opportunity I could, and I think this is the best of all of them! PS: I think Casey is adorable!
⛳️ This is great! I love golf but have never seen any of the Disney courses. I wonder how many people that are in or have been in the military know this Resort existed? I didn’t. Thank you Kyle!
Shades of Green is my favorite resort. In Jan and Sept honorably discharged military can go, but otherwise it is just for active duty and retired. (And we always go to Celebration Town Tavern when we are there!)
Only going to correct your English. It is a bucket of balls that you bought on the driving range not a basket. Also you only wear one golf glove so depending on whether you are right or left handed you will buy a right or left glove.
As a life long golfer, and as someone that does know a thing or two about that cruel game - LOL. I Would "highly" suggest invest in lessons, this will be the thing you will not ever regret spending golf money on. You appear to have a very decent swing right out of the gate. A pro can help you understand things that will take you years and years to learn and understand. If you are serious about the game, and really want to bust 90 then 80 then getting a coach is a good idea, at least before you get bad habits you'll need to learn to break. Cheers Kyle! Fairways and Greens! Coming in from San Antonio, We will be on the Disney Fantasy May 13th, drinks on us if we see you there! Cheers!
You have a great swing! I need to try that restaurant next time I leave the keys to go visit my son in winter garden (end of May) since I’m from New England!!! Enjoyed the video, tfs 💕
Love Shades of Green, we stay there every year. We will be there in June can’t wait and we definitely will be playing golf and we always need a fourth lol
I’m new to the golf world. I’m good with the the putt putt golf😉. Practice makes improvement. Casey is so adorable looking at her cards and gifts. I’m loving her positive vibes. I’ve enjoyed your vlogs, Kyle. You are one of the best my friend.
Man! You were making great contact with the ball. Club face is the reason why your ball maybe going left or right. But you have a great swing and transferring your weight very well. Play the oak trail. It’s a great course for a beginner golfer.
Beautiful day to hit some golf balls ! Fun hobby so my hubby says lol . Very cool chill day . Luv it ! So fun watching you open your gifts Casey 🎉Thanks for going to Celebration it looks so pretty there. Enjoy your night 🥰❤️
Fun video :) i like the golf it was fun to watch ^^ looking foward to the curise vids hoping your able to upload and everything while on there :) and another Q@A sounds fun ^^
My dad waited 5 and a half hours on the first day to grab me an annual pass because he let mine go accidentally during COVID. He went back on the site the next day, waited only ten minutes and then snagged another with no issues. Such a bummer and super long wait!
Yes. I purchased 2 annual passes. I logged on at 7:20 am CST. Purchased at 2:35 pm CST. I waited because we weren’t able to purchase annual passes in the fall of 2021. Our annual pass expired in May 2021 and then we weren’t returning to Disney until the fall of 2021 (we live in MO) and thought we would just purchase the tickets then… bad mistake. We have spent well over the cost of 2999 for 2 AP Thursday over the last year and a half… I don’t want to do the math … thankful the AP’s are back & the psychology behind this marketing is unhinged but I am aware & continue to ❤ Disney.
I don't know much about golf, but I think you had a really nice swing. Practice makes perfect! Also, I love seeing Casey opening her birthday gifts. She is always so kind and appreciative of everything. Hope everyone enjoyed their dinner! Celebration looks like a really beautiful area. Would love to see a video of the area around Christmas!
Im living over by ChampionsGate in Davenport. My condo is right by the 1st hole tea. You should come here to play. I personally suck at the game. Last time I played, I hit the golf ball which hit a pole & the ball ended up in the parking lot. Enjoy.
Great golf day Kyle, your swing is getting better. Wonderful unboxing Kasey, lots of great gifts, congrats. I would like to take this time to say that you two are a match made in Heaven! I predict that you two are going to have a wonderful life together.
We stay at Shades of Green everytime. The best perk for anyone in the military. If you are military, the rates are great. You have to be in the military to stay in the hotel. Golf is open to anyone
I enjoyed seeing you hit golf balls. I have never tried doing that but you did pretty well in my opinion. Keep doing the vlogs with Casey. She is fun and very pretty.
Evergreens for lunch, dinner, evening drink and food. The Buffet is the best breakfast for your buck ($17 when I was there last month.) Some government employees are allowed to stay there. They also have special events where all Vets. (I refer them to DD 214 Vets, since they received their discharge, but not retired) are allowed to stay. Also, former POTUS had signed a bill allowing disabled Vets to qualify for this and other benefits (I'm not sure of the rating.) I will probably be there on another "Staycation" in May. If you want to see a room, let me know.
Golf was fun! Great video!
More golf content for sure!
Great golf day Kyle.
Golf is an amazing sport, stick with it Kyle!
We just stayed there in February and we loved it. Didn’t play golf, but we definitely will be back to stay.

Huggies?
I've been looking at houses in Celebration and they're all old enough to need big remos. But you cannot beat the location.

I skipped the golf part. Lol
Reminds me of a young Tim and Jenn. I love the Tim tracker and I believe this couple will be just as successful. Best to both channels
What are the diapers for? 🤔 lol
I guess I’m not going to complain about my wait of an hour and 43 minutes on the phone with Disney to upgrade our passes.
The shot tracers too 👏🏼

But do the cheese curds squeak?!?!
