I have the same machine. I love it you can ride hard on the trails it realy bites and is stable in hard cornering. power steering is AMAZING it soaks up so much handle jaring over choppy trails . not uncomfortable at all driving one handed going by another Wheeler signaling how many are behind me .
+Bradly Windsor I know what you mean it is nice having the power steering , I have a 2015 Polaris sportsman 570 EPS there is no comparison to my old 06 Polaris 330 magnum by the way I live in NJ and will be using my sportsman for snow plowing and pulling a small wagon
I just got a plow today for my 570. Still need to hook up winch and assemble plow. I got the 60 because it was only $15 more for me. Even though I have a super nice snowblower I thought this may be fun. Lol.
Does anyone besides me HATE the shifter on his 850 Sportsman..Always in a bind. One would think after 20 years of building these otherwise fine machines they would figure it out
I just bought mine they r working on getting it delivered. I noticed too that the gear shifter is very tough.they said it gets easier w time, which i think is not true
We have a 570 and also an 850. Both SP. Both have a different transmission. 570 shifts butter smooth, 850 fights a bit because the engine/tranny is tansverse.
My 2014 850xp has 4900 miles and is still tough to shift, been this way since new. I just thought it was mine for the longest time, but I was at the dealer looking at possibly trading it in on a new one, and it is the same. I decided to keep the one I have for a few more years.
My can am 1000 binds up all the time 2. I would rather use a old pick up to plow or use a large snow blower. My Can Am needed new steering after 2 seasons of plowing - Atv do not have large enough steering components to take the weight of snow plowing.
@@hitmhard going into my 4th winter this year as well. No issues. Honestly when you look at the 570, 570SP, 850xp, 1000xp and compare them , and all the Highlifter editios, as well as the CanAm's..... to the 850 SP, (H.O.) (the same bike we both have) it seems like these 850SP's were almost purpouse built for plowing. I know folks on forums who have torn their CanAm's and 1000's apart trying to plow. The 850SP just seems to be built better.... idk if they have a more meticulous group of guys on that production line who pay more attention to what they are doing compared to the other productio lines who have younger guys and gals who just want to do their 8 hours and GTFO of work. ... but the 850 SP seems to hold up better than most of the polaris products.
My dads got a 2005 polaris 500 with 2 inch lift and some 28 inch swamp lites and that fourwheeler is going its 15th year of plowing snow it gets beat on its got 11000 miles on it ive got a 2013 polaris 500 and i am saving up for a 800 because i would like to get a vblade boss plow for it
If you're still on the fence, I just got my 2022 850 premium with eps and I'm not all that impressed... I mean its cool, I guess. Jusy another thing to break later IMO
I have a moose plow on my quad now. However I'm trading this quad in to,get a newer sportsman. I'm so up in the air about getting the glacier system. The moose steel is so much heavier. I just don't know what to do. Opinions please.
+MRJOHNDEERE3720. :) oh yeah I know the Glacier is steel. I actually checked one out at the dealer last week. It's just so thin and lightweight. The moose is 11guage steel and the whole thing is heavy. I like the weight but I like the ease of the Glacier so I'm tossed between the two. Any idea what ur friend dislikes about moose?
I have 2016 Polaris Sportsman 850 SP with a Polaris 3500 HD Winch with Synthetic cable, and 60in Polaris Glacier Pro Plow, and KFI Winch Stopper. (This 11 dollar item has saved me so much headache).
There is nothing more satisfying than plowing a fresh 10 inch snow, NOTHING
Thank you sir. Your video has given me confidence that a plow for my 850 is a sound investment
👍
Love the 850 sp new 2017 I plow with is allot smoother then my buddies 570 eps. The close ratio AWD the sp has is really great.
I love my 850. I cant wait till spring and summer. I am going to get a blade protector on the bottom and a rope for the winch not using my steel cable

This helps out a ton thank you, by the way I would change your cable to nylon rope, because after a while the cable starts to fray and cut your hands
Sharpaw 119 glad it helped!
Great video bub. Buying one soon.
Great video thank you!happy holidays❤
Happy holidays to you as well! 😀
Nice job. Have you had any problems with your 570 ?
That is an 850. I didn't have any problems with it. I sold that machine a couple of years ago 😪

Thanks
Good God... Is that the yard or driveway getting destroyed?

It will be!! I enjoy plowing. Have fun dude!!
Like a boss!
Who ever you are it seems that those polaris 4x4 ATVs work better at plowing snow than garden tractors do, plus a lot more power.
Yes, they plow a lot of snow in a short amount of time.

Check belt alignment
Sure beats shoveling or snowblowing.

I'm on four seasons with no steering issues.

Do you think that EPS is a necessity? I am looking at a 2015 850 with out EPS, just want to be sure I don't make a mistake
Eps is well worth it!! Don't hesitate!

It's nice until it stops working.
Get a 12v linear actuator for angling the plow. 100 bucks amazon 👍
I'll check it out. Thanks!
Ebay has them in all sizes way cheaper, bought a 12" 1000 pound rating for $30, shipped from USA.
nice 850. :) i have a 2010 850 xp with a 60" plow. works good till u get wet snow & a lot of it.
Yeah when you get the wet heavy stuff you have plow twice really.
hitmhard it takes alot of work to move that wet heavy stuff. i just put it in high & in 4wd & give her..lol

i have a glacier made of steel. had it 6 years & still works great. i have a friend that has a moose plow on his atv & hates it.

2500 winch also.

Except for the pin that keeps on braking for the angle control.
What plow system is this?
im thinking of getting a Polaris Sportsman 850 and get a plow where i come from theirs a lot of snow and i mean a lot
Canada?
yup how did you know (sarcasm)
I love my 2010 850 xp eps for plowing up here in canada also ahahah. I have a boss v plow for mine tho bit diffrent style but works well
nice ride
Thanks
nice vid
That was a terrible example of how the plow attaches. Goodness.
Hmm most everyone else seems to like it! Sorry I disappointed you. Enjoy the rest of your day trolling videos.
