I will never understand why some concerts are better than others. This one had "perfect" written all over it when I saw even only a snippet of it on TV back then. 4:35 to the end ❤️
I think it was. I was lucky enough to be following them at this time. I was in the studio audience for their performance at Later with Jules Holland, I went to this concert at the Fleadh in Finsbury Park which was the next day I think, and very early on in the tour, I saw them at the Town and Country Club which was a few minutes walk from where I live. it was a great time.
Why do singers always have a go at security staff? Love crowded house and Neil Finn’s music, but that move is so freaking tacky. Want a bunch of drunk fans to rush up on stage resulting in the band fleeing or having a tantrum about having their personal, artistic space invaded? Obviously no, and it’s always been such a dick move from lead singers who treat security as the enemy for creating a buffer between them and their sometimes crazed fans. Didn’t see Neil crowd surfing much. Pick a side, can’t have both.
This is still the best live version of this song. Mark Hart's guitar is amazing ❤
Songwriting doesn't get much better than this. Close your eyes and listen to its rise and fall.
Rest in Peace Pete Jones , drummer extraordinaire.x
Neil Finn..........his songs transport you to a place of serenity and safety.
Gorgeous - thank you for helping me through a 10 plus hour shift. Stunning stunning version of one of my very fav songs.
Colour is it's own reward ✨️
whatever that means...
Always love a bit of Neil's witty repartee between songs
Probably one of their best concerts ,they where on fire here. One of my favourite songs.
Shame Hessie (R.I.P.) wasn't there. Also R.I.P. Peter Jones, who was a good replacement.
What fladh was that?
Thank you! 🙏

Totally agree with you. His voice is just wow
What’s missing from Crowded House today? Mark Hart and obviously Paul.
No words needed.
Was this the best period of Crowded House? It is today.

I agree. Also the homophobic humour was a bit creepy. Interesting that Nick shows up Neil’s sexist assumptions that all security are men.
