Sorry Lee, you’re way, way wide of the mark with the self inflicted stuff. Childhood abuse stays with you for a long time, self destructiveness is one of the classic signs.

This can be a reaction from the trauma he had as a child where clearly, until his adoption, Male authority figures did some terrible things to him, so I can understand now with more clarity the type of behaviour and ultimately the struggles he faced in his career trying to suppress that trauma, I hope he overcomes this

You talk about it being convenient timing for Dele to come out with this but if he'd have told his story when at his career peak he would have been mocked and ridiculed. Comments such as "doesn't seem to have done you much harm" would have abounded. There is no set time for such revelations it's when you feel ready inside to open up to people. Don't judge him, you never know what the future holds for yourself.
I think before you questioned why footballers need sleeping pills, you should have done a tiny bit of research about the human body. When you do a physical activity your body is packed full of adrenaline. That’s why boxers sometimes say they can’t feel the punches they receive, it’s only afterwards when the body essentially starts to regulate itself. Next time you feel tired Lee, go for a run you’ll find that afterwards instead of feeling tired you’ll feel like you’ve just woken up because the adrenaline kicks in.
He alluded to the fact why he came out with this now in the interview. For one he had finished his rehab which came part of a longer process of realization that he had a problem. So its only now that he fully realizes how his past impacts his present life. I agree with you, that his recent career trajectory also probably played a part in it. 2) apparently some journalists got wind that he'd been to rehab and in light of that, he prefered to own the narrative at least. He even said that this interview probably came to soon for him but that he nevertheless felt that he could do it.
I doubt he really cares about football its probably one of the least of his concerns its not really an important thing. HIs wellbeing is an actual important thing. Bit weird to try make out Dele has done anything wrong just to get attention on yourself.
Jose nailed it with what he said to him during the Spurs AON. But as somebody who’s been through something very similar well done to him for making it as far as he has, but I do think if he reached out for help a lot sooner he could have been helped more. He made it and let it go to his head man, always did look like an arrogant guy but yeah, mental fall from Grace man, I’d have taken him at Arsenal during his peak tbh. Ps I fully agree with you that the football clubs have a duty of care, players should be extremely well looked after, physically and mentally. Mental health is serious tho so I understand when somebody is struggling.
He may never be the same talent he was, but I think with the growth he has made as a person will make him a winning player in 4-5 years. Lee, I was half expecting you to bollock him and blame the trauma on being at Tottenham. I watched the interview and I genuinely felt really sorry for him although that is not what he wanted. I have seen many players pissing their career down the toilet when they were generational talent like Greenwood, Ravel Morrison and even the late great George Best. As you rightly said when you move to a big club you then have to be a big man even if you have the IQ of a haddock, you have a pot of money and your choice of women and all the hangers on that will bring you down and stab you in the back. It is life unfortunately. I heard a quote the other day and I want to use it. A snake can shed it's skin but it is still a snake!!! When he was at Spurs under Poch he had a sympathetic ear and when Poch left he didn't have it any longer. He went to Everton and probably did not have anyone to confide in and Turkey was just the final nail. Nobody there could give a rat's arse about his issues and could not talk English to him anyway. Underneath as you say he had the ability but not the drive, probably because he thought he had made it, but then the wheels came off. I hope he can revive his career somewhat but he is 26/27 now so time is running out and I think he can do something at Everton or at a lower EPL team should he be moved on. He says he still has the hunger so lets give him a chance that others like Mason and Ravel might not get.
I hope he's getting help from the priemer league and Everton. But it happened before he played for Spurs and when he was doing well. No doubt it effected his confident in life. But he shouldn't have believed his own hype and not be a model and focused on his football
Bro before a big game when I think back I would have loved to take some sleeping pills just to get to sleep. It makes sense to me and no it wasn't because i was on any thing at all.

Deli isn’t to blame for anything. He was an abused child. It’s a miracle he even got where he did in the footballing world.
How tf would Lee know him???
Lee 41 and Dele 26 … how did you ‘know’ him back then please ????
He didn’t, he goes on like he’s a born and bred gooner but then says he lived in MK? I’ve lived in Milton Keynes and the amount of lads that live there and talk like there London 😂 he’s either one of those guys or was never raised in Islington at all.
@@ReasonablyArsenalate I moved from London to Ipswich 5 years ago and it's the same thing here, bunch of young lads with country accents trying to say blud and fam and rizz innit it's so cringe I'm from London and don't speak like that 😂

@@justiny.7442 his distant family lived in MK? If I’m wrong and he never lived in MK then I can completely understand why his family remained distant 😂
They are providing sleeping tablets not Xanac, Lee
It’s not that linear of how you make it to be. People use different types of things to escape from their hurt and demons. Some use football, some use drugs, some music, some sex, some use work etc
Michael Johnson was the City player 👍
Wtf is this?? Lee doesn’t understand why dele can’t sleep even after watching the interview??
Clearly lees never had anything terrible happen in his life that keeps him up at night. Mbn
Honestly this guy Lee is one ofnthe biggest picks ever. Spent the whole time talking about sleeping tablets🤦🏾🤦🏾 ignore the fact of all the other things happen. Lee better hope he never experiences anything like this himself. Absolute wasteman
If he works hard and keeps his focus, he can still have another 8 to 10 years of football career
For the algorithm 👊
Truth hurts!Love how honest you were Lee Gunner❤️, how emphatic you were but that didn't stop you from telling the truth. No sugar coating... straight up facts! I love this man (Lee Gunner❤️) :)
Lee think it's an easy fix, life ain't as easy as that.
@@Rocky0Road Bro he finally made it man...Truth is he made it band became lazy that's facts...Falling from grace only re-surfaced the feelings of sadness
@abrahamjamess he had internal issues hard to stay at the top, with problem behind the scenes
Totally agree Lee 👍
It's a 20 minute video and you commented 6 minutes after upload.
@@travistarr9433 🤔 when Lee talk he does really explain the situation very well so I totally agree in all of his videos
@@markpjf85then you are some serious cuck if you take his word as gospel
Michael Johnson is who he’s thinking about
Lee to be honest, if he really wants to he can, theres still time for him to get better.
Yeah I did find the sky bet ad on the video so hypocritical lol
Man greatest accomplishment was smashing the 2time treble winners daughter 😅
Lee you're a real one loved listening to this love how you tell it how it is never change
Bit harsh to say 'if he really wanted it......'. Doesn't work like that
Yes it goes instead of partying and smashing birds every whilst drunk, go bed early and sleep. Pretty simple.
@@LEEREACTS Yeh fair enough but the guy is clearly and has been for ages mentally fucked.
It’s a tragic shame about him he could’ve done great things not at Tottenham if you went to somewhere else he would’ve won trophies
Well at least he’s on the straight and narrow now out of rehab but sleeping pills addiction and sad about his childhood just thinking about it you Gotta look at other peoples childhood as well in the same similarities It always ends in tragically
Most never recover from child abuse. So happy Delli alli is pulling through.
Where’s my help Lee? Where’s my duty of care?
I just hope none of the arsenal youngsters right now end up coming out with something like this and if they do hopefully it’s now rather then later
You have right to reject everything the club gives u
I hope he's getting help from the priemer league and Everton. But it happened before he played for Spurs and when he was doing well. No doubt it effected his confident in life. But he shouldn't have believed his own hype and not be a model and focused on his football
100% agree. Just wants sympathy
Has anyone tried getting sleeping tablets from their doctors?, blood out of a stone springs to mind 😂😊
Bro before a big game when I think back I would have loved to take some sleeping pills just to get to sleep. It makes sense to me and no it wasn't because i was on any thing at all.
Genuine question, did you born in month of November Lee?
He needs to change is pr team for letting him do interview with a betting sponsor instead of his own club tv
Has he won a trophy? Whose he scored against? Has Real Madrid bid for him yet?

Jadon Sancho should come out now..... he must be poppin packets of sleeping pills
Cough cough jack wilshere …👀😂
Dele Ali sounds like a fun night out! 😎👑
People deal with trauma differently.......he's still a flop footballer but based on this interview it makes sense. How can a player be that talented to that degree and just fall off a cliff? Didn't make sense to me.
Young player of the year twice and worth 15 to 20 mil. Yeah hes deffo a flop

Sleeping tablets = recovery period.. normal in sports
Sleep without the tablets
