Ghar gompa is located in the Upper Mustang region of Nepal at the elevation of 3950 meters above sea level. Its is 3 hours trek away from the village of Charang. It was built by Guru Padhmasambabha in 8th Century and it is believed to be the oldest monastery in the region. It is one of the most important gompa for Buddhists. When you are doing the trip to Upper Mustang, Please don’t miss out this monastery.

Had never seen such beautiful places in Nepal. Was just assuming that it's full of snow all over but after watching Upper Mustang, got to know that there's desert too. I wonder how people such isolated survive. Thank you Ram, I'm able to see these wonderful places 🙏👍👌👌

That monastery was simply incredible and the main gompa was full of ancient Buddhist relics. Unfortunately no photography was allowed inside. Thanks again Ram for capturing this wonderful exploration!
