Honestly, if Lixian ever decides to try his hand at being a full time youtuber hed actually do some good ass content. Hes funny, interesting and interested in everything going on. 10/10 would watch him

I honestly still miss his gaming videos because they were fucking _hysterical_ and his animated stuff, too. And while I understood why he stopped, I was still so bummed.
I think he used to be one as well as Mark's editor, but he became a father and that takes up a lot of time from being able to do three fulltime jobs XD

I love how watching a Lixian video is a lot like watching a Markiplier video. The man has an editing style and he sticks to it. It's actually really kind of inspiring to me tbh because Lixian is basically who got me to even want to try being an editor. I still suck at it, but...I still like it at least lol.

There is _nothing_ a jarring as hearing Mark’s intonation on “I don’t know” out of Lixian.
I had to go back and rewatch that part when i saw it, it was hilarious 😂 it's so cool to see mannerisms and inflections picked up by interacting together for so long.

The worst of that, is that Roblox bootleg usually get more people to like the stolen than the original, something similar happened with another indie dev who's game was reproduced in Roblox and made 20 times more fame to the bootlegger than the original dev
That's why someone needs to take legal action. Start teaching lessons. Not entirely sure why no one has yet.

Kinda hurts to see Lixian hinder that idea inadvertantly, by instead platforming people stealing other's works.
The story behind the game you're talking about, is that the original developer didn't have a following, so their game wasn't noticed.
The Roblox people asked to clone it. He gave permission.
Roblox is a huge platform, that makes it easy to get noticed. That version blew up.
Original Dev has to take-down the roblox verison, because it was only hurting his ability to get his actual game any attention.

5:57 most games are around the quality of this one. It does all depend on the creator's talent, how long they take, and if they spend money on assets or people to help with different elements. The reason a lot of people get a bad impression of roblox devs is because anyone can make a game, including 5 year olds

We're comparing an asset flip that was done to create a fun concept by a developer just wanting to practice developing games,
to just a stolen asset flip.

@@ReeseTheBass well that's the thing here, the roblox "dev" didn't do anything. It's entirely taking random game from itch and a bunch of asset from roblox uc and putting all the assets in the exact same layout and sequence. Much like someone like sniperwolf or react channels on twitch, they're nothing without content to clone from.
This makes me so freaking happy. Seeing Lixians editing and humor when its already so familiar and cozy and fun from watching mark for the last forever is just so wholesome

@mande.melooo yeah was thinking that too, he has to watch Mark's videos everyday to check his editing, so it's probably a given that he'd pick up on Mark's mannerisms
They've also known each other for...what like 10 years now? And Lixian has been working for Mark or at least with him for I feel like most of that time. I'm pretty sure it started with the animations. After a certain amount of time, we do pick up on mannerisms and words from the people around us. It's kinda interesting tbh
And sadly Roblox themselves won’t help because they are too busy enabling predators to go after children in experiences that enable this.
I'm only about 7 minutes into the video, and so far I'm getting the vibe that Lixian is going from "I am mildly annoyed" to "It's a copy, but it's a well made copy. So bravo for that"
If somebody straight up ripped off Lixian to the point he was legit stealing from him, rest assured, Markiplier would be there in about 5 seconds, politely asking them to stop...

That's pretty much a trend in the Roblox dev community, just copy games from outside the platform. It's just for profit 90% of the time.

Always love to see people impressed with the roblox engine, yes, it's a platform meant mainly for children, however it can be very impressive and relatively easy to make games with, it should be given much more of a chance than it is currently, some of the game on there are equal to, if not better than games coming out on PC or console.
Its basically a rite of passage for your game to copied into a roblox game. It literally happens with every game lmao. In one way or another if you see a game, it more than likely has a roblox copy SOMEWHERE

The dedication to get mostly the same assets, especially with that last game... I'm honestly both worried and impressed that someone would go to that amount of effort, especially since they're entirely aware what they're doing is wrong, since they just copied everything and didn't even ask the developer.

If you're that impressed of how those games look, then play Frontlines, you won't believe it's Roblox at all, remember that max graphics aren't on as default.

Yeah. It's often disregarded as a game for children, but Roblox has some really great horror games. Doors being the most well-known, but I think it also has some really good Backrooms games.
Most if not all of its horror content being blatantly stolen.

I, for one, would LOVE to see a Lixian Roblox game. Twisted, FNAF: Forgotten Memories, Doors, The Mimic, there are so many actual great games on there and a lot of amazing devs. I think Lixian should try.
Man, if you made a game on Roblox I would love to play it. You can even set it up to be a multiplayer story as well. I would recommend trying the mimic.

People don't realize how far the Roblox engine has come graphically. Optimization could be better. Also, I believe it uses the Lua coding language, if you ever decide to make a roblox game.
I've seen a lot of like "unity gamedev makes a roblox game for the first time" videos and I've never really liked any of them, but I'd absolutely LOVE to see lixian make a game in roblox that sounds like it would be really fun! (for context I'm a roblox gamedev)

2:13 I have never felt so called out. I never open the curtains in my room. Never.
(In fairness to me I am autistic and find things like loud noises and bright lights to be painful/overwhelming so keeping my curtains closed dims the light)
You can see the difference in experience, your game was more balanced with a better atmosphere and event where smartly scripted to happen in front of the player (like putting a staine where a jumpscare would go to have the player look the right way)
It is ok but i've seen better horror games in roblox
i have been following lixians stuff for years but this is the first let’s play type video i remember and it is INSANE how much his humour is similar to marks while not feeling like he is trying to emulate mark. which i guess makes sense since lixian was originally just a fan of marks (an insanely talented fan) and now he gets to work with a man who’s comedy is only matched by his own. lixian if you switched to full let’s plays i guarantee we would watch that gold.

12:04 the engine for Roblox seems very impressive for making games that could resemble something close to working in unity! or to easily make a fast copy and paste of a game to Roblox(cough). Downside to working with Roblox games would be how it affects playability bc of how high quality or how big the game is (load in time, lag if you have a bunch of things, etc)
My own complaint is just how some Roblox controls work, so it takes me out of the horror when you can whip out a flashlight like nothing in a super tense situation, gives me a chuckle though lol
Earlier this year my computer played Roblox at a smooth 60fps on the highest settings. But half a year later, I have to set the graphics settings to ~2-4 for a stable 30-40fps. 😐

The reason why the creator put so much more trash than in your game is to extend playtime for premium users. The creators earn robux/money the longer someone with premium plays the game

You can bug make things different. This game had too manuly similarities to the point where it just is copied. If u do make a game, make layouts different, try to do different mechanics and stuff like that

just a side note, there are other games in roblox that are so highly detailed you literally would NOT be able to tell that they were in roblox if you hadn't opened the launcher yourself.

Roblox is actually a really easy and good game creator and you can create anything even with super hyper realistic graphics, he really should make a game on it
Yeah roblox used to be like Lego Minecraft Tix Tycoon but I guess they updated their game creating system a crap time because suddenly there are a lot of insane looking games.

I played this games horror games and realized that they used a lot of different and suspiciously similar concepts to other games…. It’s pretty much a free knockoff to other horror games.

The quality that Roblox Studio can provide is actually very good compared to my expecations. To be fair, there are a lot of trash games on the platform, but it's surprising to see the amzing things that can be made, I almost felt like I wasn't playing on Roblox anymore (and obviously Deepwoken's music is just stuck in my head now). So yeah... if Lixian actually wanted to make a game on Roblox, I think he could make some pretty awesome stuff.

I really hope Lixian can play some other games, there is pretty good and scary ones like The Mimic (not that one.), Doors, Fnaf 2 : Reimagined, Pressure, I heard It To (inspired by the animation with the same name) etc...
