Hello Dear Friends,
This video is the 2nd episode of the 2023 Onam Series. This year I have decided to share with you a different Onam experience from Palakkad. Hope you guys like and enjoy the videos.
Sambar (Ingredients):
Toor dal- 200gms
Drumstick - 2 nos
radish - 1 nos
pumpkin- 1 ( Small Pieces)
Amarakka- 5 nos
TOMATO - 3 nos
green chillies- 2 nos
Curry Leaves
Tamarind water( 60gms Tamarind + 1/2 Cup Water)
Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
Kashmiri chilli powder- 11/2 tsp
Asafoetida powder(Kayam)- 1/2 tsp
Salt( according to taste )
Water
Oil - 11/2 tbs
Ladies' finger - 10 nos
Coconut oil- 2 - 3 tbs
Asafoetida- 2 Small Pieces
Fenugreek- 1 tsp
Chana Dal- 2 tsp
Coriander- 3 tsp
Cumin seeds- 1/2 tsp
Curry Leaves
green chillies- 2 nos
dry red chillies- 6 nos
Grated coconut- 1 small
Coriander leaves
Pineapple Pachadi (Ingredients):
Mustard Seeds- 1 tsp
green chillies- 2 nos
Pine apple- 1/2 Pieces
TOMATO - 1 nos
Water- 3 Cups
Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
Kashmiri chilli powder- 1 tsp
Salt( according to taste )
Jaggery- 1 Pieces

What a beautiful video. I love to see your excitement when you cook in big vessels with them. This sambar tastes too good. I also add the same vegs and masala but add only 1/4th cup grated coconut. somewhere in caption I read cardamom powder in sambar recipe .
I tried Inji puli. Superb. I added finely chopped and deep fried bitter guord pcs to it.
From this video I will try pineapple pachhadi as I make in a different way adding grapes and riped mango. Masala is same.
