    This exercise is deeply painful, even in our native language, but is also extremely useful. I'll do it for improving my speaking for sure. I appreciate it a lot. You're the best❤

    Coach, if i run a RUclips channel uploading certain content doing shadowing, you think itd be helpful for my speaking?

    • @EnglishwithBrittany
      @EnglishwithBrittany  3 месяца назад

      Short answer: Yes! Research shows that shadowing is helpful for improving speaking and pronunciation skills. And I think that uploading them adds an element of pressure and accountability. Let me know how it goes!

    What do you think, how many hours or days should we speak consistently to be able to express our thoughts without difficulty on daily topics?

    • @EnglishwithBrittany
      @EnglishwithBrittany  3 месяца назад

      This is a big question! And unfortunately, there is no specific amount of time that can be applied to all learners. My advice would be: Set a 3-month or 6-month goal. Practice as regularly as you can. Make it interesting and meaningful for yourself. Record yourself often and get better at self-assessment.

    Is this good for pronunciation practice ?

    • @EnglishwithBrittany
      @EnglishwithBrittany  Месяц назад

      It doesn't have a focus on pronunciation. This exercise is more about fluidity and getting "unstuck" in speaking. For pronunciation practice, a better activity would be shadowing/mimicking!

    What’s the purpose of 4/3/2 mins?

    • @EnglishwithBrittany
      @EnglishwithBrittany  3 месяца назад +2

      Research has shown that when used regularly, the 4/3/2 technique can increase fluency (the ability to link speech without strain or too much hesitation) and can increase vocabulary recall! The amounts of time can be adjusted to the learner’s comfort level and capabilities- 4/3/2 are just the original numbers of minutes from the studies.
