Hunker down in the engine It takes a lot to blow a locomotive off the rails, especially a big ES44 (think EF3+ strength tornadoes). Believe it or not the inside of the engine is the safest place during a tornado emergency
Its long but i know that are trains that are longer, this trains was pulling 182 cars, the longest train that i seen on youtube is one on detroit that pulls 270 cars.
We’ve run much longer trains than this, I have trains on my channel that have higher car counts than this one and have personally taken trains longer than the one in this video
That one train held up traffic for over 7 minutes! This should NOT be; firetrucks, ambulances and other emergency traffic is at risk of not arriving in time to save lives! This is all because the railroad big shots want to MAKE money but not SPEND money for new locomotives and engineers to run them Where is the union?
I’m a weather nerd, and a railfanner, so this was heaven for me.
I know that’s right! I’m the same way lmao
same but also history nerd
Yes
So exciting
CSX Locomotives leaders: were out of here!
CSX DPU Engine: I do not want to get struck by lighting or a tornado......
3:01 Dispatch really issues a tornado warning for them & all railfans lol 😂 😆 😝
Terrific catch!
awesome video and catch.
Great catch thanks
Trains/Tornadoes, they're both sound just a like.
Nice video! I caught a similar train last week and in much better weather.
Nice video, stay safe, yeah tornadoes are scary!
Huh! I’m a railfan and EAS fan and searched up tornado warning and this is what comes up! I didn’t know 415 ran they Gaithersburg!
Yea, Q415 runs through Gaithersburg
What happens to a train in tornado. Do they speed up to get out the way. Or come to a stop. I often wondered.
Ordered to stop and shelter in the locomotive by the Dispatcher
Nice video!
It happens at 3:00
This is the longest train I have ever seen
The clouds in the background look very threatening.
DPU Engine 5:39
Ong I remember watching this recently
Was this in Maryland
3 tormentas y 14 tornados después...
Why no siren?
Should have sounded, should have been audible.
What do trains do during a tornado warning if the cannot find shelter?

@@StarTard8 Could you show me all trains that are longer than this.
Oh boy, EAS!
Was is he still going if it a tornado warning
I don't think so. Usually, dispatch stops all train traffic in the affected areas of a tornado warning.
Did he say it expires in 1500 hours?
At 15:00, aka 3 PM.
I was on this train in a box car you can kinda see me at 5:08
Really?
i dont see you and how was the ride
That's the longest train I've ever seen
Love trains

Not here in MD
@@StarTard8 there is many civil defense sirens around. they are beyond stupid not to sound them.
Be Safe of a tornado please
