Amazing! This is something you don’t see in the US. I was doing all of the fireworks videos that I made came from Saugerties and Catskill on both nights during the last few days, and all they have are 2” to 8” shells, but not larger. Japan had the larger shells that the US doesn’t.
This reminds me so much of New Year’s Eve at midnight couple days ago, me and my friends walking around town then we hear a count down then fireworks just start going off all around the city. Good fucking night it was💯
Amazing. I love the progression. From this huge beautiful slow moving star followed by wonderful dabs of colour, like flowers bursting out and then finally the whole sky is lit up by smaller stars.
Man if you want the best experience of fireworks you have to go to China or Japan my cousin's been to both and he says there firework shows are incredible
Only one or two are made in Japan, every year. They are made for the Japanese Firework's Festival in Katakai, Japan. That is a 950lb shell. There were two this year! One exploded on the ground and the next day, the 2nd launch was wonderful.

When I die, i'd like my ashes hoisted aloft in one of those bad boys. No church, no pedophile priest, silly music or invisible man in the sky, just my dust in a Japanese 48" shell, and Tom Waits and free liquor for the attendees.
I'd love to see 48" shell get through customs...also, the weight, size, duty, tax,....well I reckon it would have to be paid for 4 times over!! Plus, I doubt we would have the sheer skill passed down through many generations to make one of those.... got to hand it to the Japanese.... BRAVO!!
