Congrats on your JP debut!!!! Glad to see you finally hit the ground running with your first performance in Japan (despite it being a slightly unusual taiban/show). I guess to relate kind of to the culture shock/off feeling of a taiban, my second ever taiban two months ago I was hanging around the bar area before the show and saw a foreign dude and a girl just chatting it up and drinking some beers. Third act of the taiban rolls around and that one girl was part of a idol group. I was soooo shocked and amazed that some members can just do that (technically they were an alt-idol act, so I guess it was fine?) Coming from my experience as a streamer and learning from other experiences from my kamioshi who migrated from Australia to become an idol in Japan. There are definitely going to be some bad days where there's barely a crowd or there's no merch sales. There are definitely going to be days where you'll doubt yourself or some aspect of yourself. But you have to keep going, you have to push through. Growth and popularity in all aspects of the entertainment industry (VTubing, streaming, even idols) is gonna be slow, be it's gonna be rewarding for sure. The future is uncertain, and sometimes optimism really turns into pessimism, but you need to keep going. Take any opportunity you can get (as long as it's safe, thankfully that first taiban didn't get TOO weird) and just. keep. going.
