I can't believe it's been 10 years! Such a fantastic beautifully composed track!
genius; melancholy pop. they've created almost an oxymoron in music- two opposites existing with each other; dependent on each other and giving each other meaning and purpose for existing; good would not be good without bad being bad. DIRECT RELATION: melancholy sub guitars and synth along with almost droned out sad banging drums creates the sad and dark tones, but his pop vocal melodies and rhythms with an upbeat tempo stricking a major (happy associated) tone here and there - creats good feel
Listen to the beach boys, they got there first
I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS SONG FOR AGES SINCE HEARING IT ON FRENCH RADIO
THANK GOD I FOUND IT
THIS IS A HEAVENLY MOMENT
i woahh this is the oldest comment i’ve found on RUclips. i wonder how much your life has changed since u made this comment. do u still listen to this song sometimes?
@@kashmir1799 wow this was a very interesting reply to see, firstly thank u for that. made my being awake at 4.30am just that bit more surreal ! my life has infinitely changed (for the better) since writing this comment, i was 15 at the time, and i was actually reflecting on that when i checked my email to see this reply... are u god ? to be honest i dont listen to this song a whole lot these days but its always a nice one , u inspired the listening this time round . hope ur having a great evening
@@imoringostarr how does it feel to get back on track?
@@kashmir1799 its good to see the connections we make along the way...i was 18 when i heard this song...fond memories...now i'm 28...I understand a lot more, but i feel the music makes more sense now too..
@@junk1ewannabe To me it feels like 2012/2013 was just yesterday :)
I keep coming back to this song every 2-3 months
great show, pure elegance
The guitar waterfall of sound is where it’s at along with the rhythm of drums. I wouldn’t change it a bit.
Well put. This is a much needed departure from their previous work. When is the last time you heard a vocalist who didn't need to use 10,000 sq ft. of reverb to sound interesting. Droste's voice would still sound great in a vacuum.
Fantastic
*IF YOU HAVE NOT HEARD GRIZZLY BEARS ALBUM “YELLOW HOUSE” THEN YOU ARE MISSING OUT ON THEIR MASTERPIECE.*
I love how the Internet is slowly recognizing all of the bands I loved in high school, and was saddened by how little recognition they got back then. Tame Impala being the main example, actually, Ed Droste (one of the singers from Grizzly Bear) tweeted out about how great the new grizzly bear and caribou records were, that’s back in like 2010 when Tame Impalas *INNERSPEAKER* record came out. And I remember sharing that record with literally everyone on Facebook, and when Tame Impala came to play a show in Dallas, I ended up getting like 15 people to come out and see them. Because Innerspeaker was that good of an album.
Cut to 11 years later and Tame Impala is FUCKING KILLING IT, Rihanna is covering their tunes, Kevin is producing songs for Post Malone. Their RUclips videos are getting HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF VIEWS.
It’s just wild to see. Tame Impala went from this obscure Australian psych rock revivalist band that when I saw them in 2010, I think 60 other people were there. Now they are headlining festivals and playing to tens of thousands.
I wish Grizzly Bear and specifically Daniel Rosen were getting those kinds of numbers. But millions are _fine for now._
QUE BUENISIMA CANCION , ME ENCANTA ESTA BANDA!
Amazing simply amazing!
Remarkable band
holy jumping christ this is good
lounge, Martini of choice, significant other, dim lights and no work the next day.
harika ya .lys ye 28 gün kala ❤ olacak inanıyorum bu sefer olacak!!
I prefer old Coldplay as well. Don't really listen to them anymore but the hate they get isn't merited.
I just think the lead singers have similar vocal qualities. Aside from that the differences grow much larger.
Wow.
What brought me here? I'm a salmon.
wow...love the song but the recording is really weird...in a bad way :-\ still cant wait to get the album though.
Did anyone know about this song from Radbrad
Grizzly Bear don't write songs, they write sagas.
Came from theradbrad!
I JUST SPLOOGED MYSELF
Ethereal
colbert bumping etc. better than fun.
That be me
Any person that likes grizzly bear is most likely a cool human being
it's true
I like Grizzly Bear and I'm not cool :)
@@leeezimmer9868 Of course you're not cool...
You're damn amazing. Hope you enjoy your day
Shoutout to my art teacher for actually making me enjoy my time in school
I’m not cool. I’m warm.
My teacher played this in class today.
i love it
You have a great teacher! Try to discover more of his playlist ;)
Super!
millenial teachers are the best
so, you leke "ehhhhhh?"?
Yet again we're the only ones
No surprise, this is often how it's done
Lately it's about all I can take
I will move and mend and mold this break
Shell with another crack
I'm small but I can keep track
Too soon, everyone just step away
I'm sure this isn't the last play
Take it all in stride
Speak, don't confide
We barely had a case
It's done before we try
Stop and end by night
A desert in your face
Take score, even playing fields this game
I know when all's said we're the same
If I could I would leave it all be
No chance to move backwards and see
Take it all in stride
Speak, don't confide
We barely had a case
It's done before we try
Stop and end by night
A desert in your face
Take it all in stride
Speak, don't confide
We barely had a case
It's done before we try
Stop and end by night
A desert in your face
I always keep coming back to this song. No matter the time of day, month of the year... This song captivates me.

My first and last love ever sent me this after we had a fight, and its so ironic. Oh and it's been 4 years now. Great.
I thank Radiohead for opening my music palette for music this cool.
Trueeeee
Yes!!!!
It does sound like Knives Out.
Isn’t grizzly bear jonny Greenwood’s fav band?
could you please suggest other great artists like radiohead & grizzly bear
This is an uber-sweet jangly, reverb-drenched, very 'real' sounding pop confection that should be praised (and not scorned). There's a kind of '60s sensibility here that I find totally compelling and a chorus that at this moment would be an appropriate musical epitaph for me. Damn I love this song.
First time hearing this band.. I think I'm already becoming addicted.
Yeah they are amazing and it gets better 💕
This song is a spiritual experience for me every time.
Nah fr shit make me wanna jump out my body float away..especially when he does the uh uh...uh uh...uh uh
yet again i'm listening to this
probably the song of my life
this is so good i can hardly [grizzly] bear it.
2012 was such an incredible year for music.
I'm just going to go on a Grizzly Bear album binge pretty soon.
this song in particular, well to me anyway is a combination of the shins meets radiohead. Pure euphoria
+TVinmyEye that's very accurate
+TVinmyEye any particular Shins song? Never really heard that band so I'm curious. Always on the hunt.
+Adam Gelman i guess the most similar could be phantom limb, similar groove--i'd check out any of their early work for those savvy to the shoegaze/dreampop genres, very moody stuff but also pretty bubbly
+TVinmyEye Indeed
+TVinmyEye Damn, perfect description :)
They remind me most of the Moody Blues. Great stuff! Thank you Arcade Fire, Grizzly Bear, Metric, The White Stripes and the many other bands of my generation for initiating a new renaissance of spectacular music. There was a commercialized lull for while there after the early 90s that has finally been broken! LOVE THE TIMES.
your style, lyrics and melodies, your voice....just fantastic*****
I can't get enough of this song!! Just like with Sleeping Ute. They are unbelievably talented! I can't wait until September!!
the beginning reminds me so much of knives out, which happens to be one of my favorite radiohead songs.
Chris Taylor's production work is really neat stuff. Crisp yet gritty. So refreshing in this age of polished dance pop.
I just heard this for the first time this morning. Almost made me cry. I was so pleased to find out it's Grizzly Bear. Thank you!
not many bands these days can blend dissonance and harmony in a song that's accessible to 'pop-like' ears yet appreciated beyond conventional audiences. Great song IMO.
I really hate it so much when bands refer to themselves as "indie" or worse still "alternative". I love Grizzly Bear but some other bands, basically normal rock bands, are so fucking presumptuous and bigheaded making out their music is so original and unique and "alternative" when in reality they just use the same chords and stuff over again ain all their songs! This gets me so mad.
Every single day after working, I sit in front of my computer and turn this song, this song really charge my good vibes... many thanks grizzly bear.
this live remix is WOW: Grizzly Bear - Yet Again (David August Remix)
Thanks!
Animal collective??
In the dream he snuggles into a huge Grizzly Bear in the woods, slowly falling a sleep while this tune echos from the ground. But the dream turned sour when the bear got angry and chased him (he's naked) with the explosive ending of the song screaming out from the dead trees.
Nostalgia
What a talented drummer Chris Bear is.
Note to self: Released in 2012
I agree this band gets better and better with time. So original and there is something so beautiful about this song......like many of their songs. Always feel content and hopeful when I listen to them.
came from theradbrad :D
I'd just like to say that this is literally my favourite song of the year. Bravo, Grizzly Bear. Bravo.
This song makes me want to stare out of a window of a moving car in the rain and pretend I'm in a sad movie
Yet again I am living for this in 2018
TheLucy92ish me too
Knives Out
Catch The Mouse
Don’t look down
The artwork for their albums is always good...
Lovely entree of a song! I appreciate the "different" sound of these latest releases and look forward to a new "audio buffet" in Shields. Ed's singing voice, as well as Daniel's, has grown in confidence and comes forth so much more willingly than on previous albums -- Hooray! Here, Ed has a silkiness akin to the Kings of Convenience boys. I'm on board!
Wow this song is so powerful. It really sounds like a battle between people in the form of music. Grizzly Bear are such amazing artists and this album is going to be so good I can tell.
Excellent track!
Ditto!
Help me out, great band with animal names.... fleet foxes, grizzley bear and.......?
Arctic Monkeys; Tame Impala; Frightened Rabbit; Message to Bears; Seabear :)
Bonus non-animal band with lots of songs with animal names: Iron & Wine :)
don't forget modest mouse
Don't forget about The Wombats either. They are fantastic
what about pepper rabbit?
seawolf, sparklehorse

most underrated song ever
This song is sooooo familiar but I just can't for the life of me remember why
knives out - radiohead?
I've been listening to GB for about four years straight now! Never get tired of it.
Ooh, great!
This does not sound like knives out
ses quelques notes m'ont donné tellement l’allégresse dans la grisaille déprimante parisienne et me sentir pleinement vivante!!! entendue la première fois, aujourd'hui! merci les nounours
this song makes me wanna bawl my eyes out
Grizzly bear, just like a fine wine. Gets better with time. Beautiful tune
Oh, cada vez siento que me gusta más Grizzly Bear :')
I'm a fan of Radiohead but have never listened to Grizzly Bear. Radiohead made what I understand was a master move of transitioning themselves (and an entire music industry) from alternative/grunge rock to electronic music with Kid A, which changed my life and allowed me to evolve the way I perceive and enjoy sound and music. And it was walkiing down the electronic music world that I discovered David August's Boiler Room at Berlin in 2014 (ruclips.net/video/mRfwdJx0NDE/видео.html) in which he mixes Yet Again at the end: ruclips.net/video/mRfwdJx0NDE/видео.html which brought me to Grizzly Bear to close the circle.
Just found these guys, totally addicted!
Technically correct, but to me personally, finding multi-layered music of low production quality that sounds good is hard. To me, music of low production quality tends to sound better with simpler instrumentation (folk sound). Primarily because, the "messiness" of the sound can accumulate as effects are stacked (punk music goes exactly for this though I am not really a punk fan). Musicians should know their limitations both in musicianship and production budget. Recommend a band that can do this
"Yet Again" they amaze me.
Yes, a song could be deemed emotionally inauthentic as a consequence of one not being able to relate to the emotion being expressed. There is however music in which you can tell right away whether or not it is emotionally authentic. Generally speaking, this is true when the music is not written by the performing artist. Also, stuff like Bieber or Jonas Brothers. Yeah opinions are inherently subjective, but if you had common sense you would agree with me.
i need help with life. i'm slowly dying of depression.
If you would like anyone to listen Wolf; let me know.
Big ups man we all together in this trip one way or another
Aren't we all?
I agree in that Grizzly Bear is better, but you need to understand that music is subjective. "Good music" doesn't have to be multi-layered. Have you ever listened to Delta blues musicians? It is all about the authenticity of the emotion being expressed through the music, not really the production quality or anything of that sort.
Remembers me of some Two Door Cinema Club's song. Love it!
what ? What songs ?!
+Darryl Turner I don't know, I think that they have alike voices in specific moments - the lead singers, of course
Plus, if this song had more "electronic sound efects" in it, would be jus like a TDCC's.
humbled opinion...
CoooooooooooooooooL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I used to play this chord progression way before I listened to grizzly bear, same chord progression, strummed in a different way.
unfortunately, it reminds me of unhappy things; still love grizzly bear, though
+Salvatore Della Monica cool story bro i wrote beat it before it came out
+MrRichardNoggin You clearly don't understand. But it's good you're spending your time trying to take people down a peg. Great job!
u mad bro ??? im just fucking with you dont take it so seriously dont cry
the interesting thing about that is that apparently this time they have mixed it up. it used to be if Dan was singing the song, he wrote it; if Ed is singing it. this time they both wrote songs for each other. so it will be interesting to see how that plays in terms of the whole album
is anybody getting a blues clues vibe from the first hawaiian riffs???? because i am getting some serious blues clues vibes from those first hawaiian riffs ngl
i feel you
So many hipster comments here
aahahahahaha
dude
***** Only Thom Yorke knows.
GB isn't hipster
+Homeless angry black man hey it's me
OH man this song.. it's just so familiar.. like the rest of the album is original and amazing.. but this particular song is... leaves me...well.... cold while it plays. :(
Awesome.
4:20 till end is favorite part. that menacing riff is wicked
If they just didn;t have that long amount of annoying sound at the end of the song... I hate to bash anothers art but I do it anyway.
That ending is great, more of that, reminds me of In Rainbows.
I appreciate the radiohead reference. its not grizzly bear's usual m o but its really good anyway.
it reminds me of Fierce Creatures more
So the first step to truly conveying that you're not a hipster is -> saying that you're a hipster.. Yes, sounds logical. Spock agrees.
Got this from radbrad
his voice is a lot more raw and unlayered this time around. a much more cleaned up vibe than his voice on Yellow House and maybe even Veck
i think people exaggerate how much they love less popular songs
cactus Nah, people just like hearing something fresh and interesting. Pop music is usually redundant and musically boring
Nvm, just thought of a great band name.. anybody know a good drummer? .. the Albino Alligators need percussion desperately
still keeping track.
