Charlotte was born at the Pittsburgh Zoo on February 14th, 2023, and has lived there ever since! Her troop is one of two at the zoo. Her mom is named Ibo, and her dad is Harry. They stayed separate from the other troop until this February, when that troop’s Silverback, Mrithi, sadly passed away. Fortunately, that meant the two troops were able to merge without worrying about conflicts between the two silverbacks (Mrithi and Harry), and Charlotte seems to be adapting well! She, and the zoo’s other baby gorilla, Bo, who was born in June of 2023, have even been playing with each other a lot since the troops merged!
