Thank you Jon!. I have learned a bunch about my Pa5x from you. What seems to be missing in this arranger is a drum sequencer to program your own drums easily.

I am glad you like the videos, thanks for watching.
Yes, it would be nice if they would put in a drum sequencer as an extra menu in the drum editor. Even if it was just a simple multi bar thing that would show you the beats each drum is hitting on. I can do OK when laying down a drum riff in Style Edit, but I still have to go back to the Event Sheet and make sure things are in time.

When I had the PA3X or 4X we had a choice of 4 different remapping of the drum kits or variations, is that available somewhere here? I can't seem to find something like that if it is? or maybe change the snare in the set? or bass drum?

You cannot change the drum sounds individually in the Style Drum Editor, only the parameters of that drum sound or the complete drum kit. If you want to change the individual drum sound you have to go to Record / Sound Edit / then select the Drum Kit you want to edit and then you can change the drum sounds/samples. Watch the 3rd part of the video. The older 3x, 4x did not have the the processing power as the Pa5x. This means that drum sounds/samples were limited. In the Pa5x you will see that some drums sound have as many as 8 samples per each drum sound. Watch the video again at where I a explain the 3rd way to edit the drums.

@@jonmicheals621 I have a PA5x and I understood of the layers but I don't know if you are familiar with the PA4x if you download the manual you can see what I am talking about ,it's on page 224 which talks about drum maps that you can change on a style, that's what I am looking to find on the 5X or maybe another way to do it?

@Vangelismusic1 @Vangelismusic1 Yes, the Pa5x has a different OS, and I don't think it has drum mapping like the older versions. But try this. Go to Record / Style Edit / Menu / Event Sheet. Other than re-recording the drums in a Style with all its Variations, Fills and Breaks, I use this method to fine-tune the drums. The Event Sheet has all that information, Varations, Fills and Breakes you can edit.
The closest you get to Drum Mapping is the Sound Editor. Record / Sound Edit then select a the drum kit to edit.
