I find this an excellent video, because it shows areas which need improvement and make me feel less "stupid". I custom code pages and am new to WP building (old WP 3 knowledge does not count) and I never know whether my lack of knowledge has to do with BD or with missing WP know how. Yes, BD urgently needs a good documentation. There is so much in it, where I am clueless ... unless I can piece stuff together from videos or the fb page, where others used to WP page builders share their knowledge or getting excellent support emails from BD. That said I put together a simple WP blog site (+ some static pages) for a client in relatively short time. Looking forward to further videos from you. Thank you very much.
This was a great first look! I really appreciate hearing your thought process as it mirrored a lot of the same thoughts I would have had in your situation. I'd love to see follow-up videos regarding Breakdance as newer versions are released. Cheers 👏
Sorry about that. As others mentioned, RUclips does the low res version first. I'll try to keep it from being published before the hi res version is rendered.
Oxygen: "Hey, all you WP web designers: buy this LTD; because we need you early adopters to help us define the features for the most amazing WP site builder ever, the only one you'll ever need ever again." Two years later: "P.S. - btw, that builder will be called Breakdance, not Oxygen ... oh, and the features you're waiting for that we asked you to help define ... yeah, about that ... they're in Breakdance. Thanks for helping out!" I never bought into Oxygen, so I'm not bitter at all. Sure Louis is a brilliant dev, but I'm still gonna steer clear. It's not about the money. A dev's gotta eat! I get it. But with as brilliant as he is, it's hard to draw any other conclusion other than this was a deliberate, premeditated strategy.
I was never an Oxygen user but they said they were still continuing work on that builder too. The tools cater to two different audiences in my mind. Oxygen is closer to Bricks where Breakdance is closer to Elementor. If you're a more advanced developer I still think Oxygen or Bricks is the better choice.
@@tylerrobb - I like Bricks. It is my favorite of the three, though perhaps a steeper learning curve than Breakdance. I still have issues with the same company competing against itself with products that have many overlapping features. I just doesn't make sense. Also, in theory there are two totally separate teams, yet I see Elijah active in the Breakdance group helping with the Breakdance website and so on. Oh well, I guess we will see how it goes.

Thanks Tom - Better documentation would be of benefit to users. Breakdance is continuing with new features, so that is good.

Excellent explanation. Thanks for all the effort.
Thank you for the positive feedback.
what do you need to organize them by genre? 🤔
A custom taxonomy. You can create those with ACF now.
David, G'Day. Not sure if it's just me, but the video is very blurry and hard to see. Checked other videos on RUclips and all good with them. Cheers.
The video is an hour old. RUclips takes some time to add the full HD version. Check back soon and it will be clear.

Click on the gear at the lower right of the video, and then click on the 1080p HD setting. The video will appear crystal clear.

It was handled poorly.

Please stop using every piece of tech that was built by a CEO who made decisions that you dont agree with.
@@polarxta2833 I've never used Oxygen (I guess you missed that part) ... but thanks for chiming in
