I think you better try early cuz if it doesn't work and you wait too long, you can't get a replacement or a repair. As far as I've read, you have 30 days. Unless you send the warranty card to extend the warranty
I bought my Gemini Jr at the HSN launch in Nov 2017. Have never used the metal shim - use the plastic shim when embossing along with the rubber mat. The 3D folders you have to play with, I think I skip the plastic shim...have only used the 3D folders a few times. I love my machine. When Sara demonstrates the machines on HSN she uses a different combo for her sandwiches than what is in the instruction book. When I questioned it at CC, they said as long as you always use a plastic plate on both top and bottom, the middle sandwich differs even from what is in the book. The booklet is only an example of the sandwich. I had the Cuttlebug but couldn't crank it, and I also broke my C plate by forcing it (when I questioned it on a You Tube video, the response was to just keep cranking, and it'll work.). But I just love my Gemini Jr - it's my favorite toy..
I just got my Gemini junior An Immediately messed up! I put magnetic sheet on die cuts I ran it upside down! Then the plastic top plate has a bow in it already. Idk if I should keep trying with new sheets?
I bought mine fromHSN......opened box .....no paper work!instruction booklet or plates. They told me contact manufacture. I tried but they don answer phones. Help
Just bought it, with reservations, and using their sandwich and tried 1-2 pieces of cardstock and it cut the paper(S) but nearly cut 1/2 way thru the clear plastic. If I elilimated one of the shims, it didnʻt cut at all.. any suggestions???
Hey, There are two black mats. One is for embossing and is really floppy. The other is your magnetic mat. Try the two clear acrylic mats, the magnetic mat and the frosted mat. That might do it.
Creations with Christina Hi. Thanks for answering! I realized that the tag die included in the box was the one that caused the deep cut. The others didnʻt. Learning curve!
Is there a reason that you didn't use the embossing mat with the embossing folder? Just wondering because I'm thinking of buying this machine - I want to know as much as I can before I do!
Kelly Makes Things that’s a good question. I didn’t think of trying that since it wasn’t a recommended sandwich. I did test and It gave a better embossing but it also stretched out the rubber mat.
I'm being told by retailers that they will not accept returns of an open box in case something is defective so this video is very helpful. I'm reading on Amazon that the cutting plates wear out rapidly (more so than the Sizzix?)
I have this and don’t recommend it AT ALL unless you want to play mix and match with the plates if you use dies/plates other than Crafters Companion. It’s great for intricate dies but it’s cumbersome and time consuming with all of the plates.
Just got my Gemini Junior .... I am so thankful I found you ....now I can bravely go forward.
This was a fantastic tutorial. Great help as I get ready to use my new Gemini!
My Gemini is in the box, I was worried about the sandwich thing, thanks for this video. I will open mine now.😊

I can't wait to receive mine.
Great demo. Thank you so much.
Wow, I really want to get it!!!!!!! Thank you for inform them.
Thanks!
The spellbinder it says you can emboss using your die cuts also - think you can do that also with the Gemini?

Hi, Christina! I just came across this video, and I’m thinking of getting a Gemini. Are you still liking yours?
I got 2 embossing 3d folders from Stampingup and they are to wide for my Cuttlebug they are 6x6 in I don't want to send them back

Please help, why wont my gemini cut through dies, I've it everything in and its a gemini die cut 🥲
Mine won't work it turns on but when I add the plates it won't do nothing. What could be wrong.
have had a while. now the clear plate is curved and impossible to push through.

Jane Hasegawa I completely forgot about that die. Glad you got it working. Have fun!
Jane Hasegawa , I just opened mine and used the tag die and had the same experience!

How wide is the opening on the Jr. Christina?
Brenda Lawrence hey Brenda. I’m not home right now but i believe the plates are 6x8. So the opening would be a little bigger than 6”.

Thanks so much for letting me know - I appreciate it!
Awesome video sis. Been thinking about this machine for some time now because my mint cuttlebug doesn’t work that great for intricate cuts 😞. Xoxo
Does it matter what die you use?
The only one that might be the hardest to use all types of dies in is the Gemini Jr. The Cuttlebug and Big Shot can use just about any type of dies.

Why didn’t you add the embossing sheet?
Have you experienced any static shocks? I had the regular Gemini but kept getting shocked so I returned it..

Can you use this for vinyl? And make your own design or is it just designs they come with
I have a brand new gold gemini die machine with no dies obviously useless got plates metal 4 plastic magnetic
Do you want it for £50
Talking way too fast.
