I remember reading about it, around that time, that it had more written voice lines than several movies would normally have, or something like that. That it had a great story, acting, and all that stuff.

Truly disappointing we never got a sequel to this game. Would've even loved a spinoff. Where maybe you are in charge of a vehicle or so. Like a 1st or 3rd person mode. Being able to change out for the Humvee, Bradley, M1, Artillery and so on. I think it'd of been cool to see a vehicle management game while fighting a defensive war on US soil.

All good picks, but tbh I think you are doing disfavor to Warcraft and Starcraft, and AoE 2 was superior to the first game. To me personally Warcraft III is the best of the best. and ofc Command and Conquer with its Tiberian and Red Alert sub-franchises and even Generals deserve mention too.
I wish Soviets spoke Russian in this game, every Nation should speak its native language, whether kids could understand or not, regardless of game chosen language. Maybe there's a mod for this.

Depending on how high your standards are. And it's a tactic game, not a strategy game. Most so-called RTS games have as much to do with strategy as a minute has to do with minute.
Strategy means decision-making at the national or theatre of war level. Up to 1,500 km behind the front lines, it is about preparing the country for war, deciding whom and where to attack or defend. How the strategic decision is executed, like we go to war or participate in a war, open an Eastern and/or a Western front (two theatres of war), war in the Pacific (theatre of war), Atlantic (another theatre of war), is the operational art, therefore the operational art is at the frontline and Army/Army Corps level, so no tactical decisions in sight yet, as far as the eye can see.
In the applied sense, military strategy determines the strategic missions of the armed forces and the necessary forces and means to achieve these missions. Within the OPFOR troop control structure, the Ministry of Defense and General Staff are responsible for developing military strategy. All State ministries and military organizations work under a unified military strategy. This also includes the civilian population!
The subsequent operational level covers the depth between 50 km to 600-800 km behind the front lines, while the overlapping depths are called operational-strategic depth and operational-tactical depth.
Below army and corps level the remainder is division level and below, which is typically up to 50 km behind the frontline, and is called the tactical level. Only!
Everything else is operational, therefore you don't have anything to do with strategic decisions most of the time, unless you play Hearts of Iron, Total War or similar games, which doesn't mean they aren't tactical, especially TW, but conversely, something that is per se its own theatre of war, like the Battle for Berlin, cannot be a strategic game.
The strategic decisions must have already been made in order to have a name for the theatre (it's Ministry level). Point blank period. There is no discussion about the differences either, as some may claim, as the definitions are very clear, going all the way back until Clausewitz's "Vom Kriege" (On War).

Whenever your decisions do not affect the tactics of another front line, it is another theatre and this is operational art. Only the decision that this front exists at all is a strategic decision. These decisions are beyond army and army corps levels, that's how you can distinguish them.
So, there you go. As long as you do not decide to send army groups to open a certain theatre of war, typically known by a certain name (e.g. Mius Front, Tunisia 1943, these are the names of the theatres), you also do not make strategic but at best operational or tactical decisions.

I remember the first time I play through the USS Missouri showed up, it's like a godsend. Her 16in guns proceed to tear to shreds the soviets.
Also Bannon may have started out flawed, but he made the ultimate sacrifice for the world as a whole.
The amount of times I rewatch this I basically know the whole thing
What a childhood game..
I wish if world in conflict is back on sale that would be good to play
Gog has it. Not sure about expansions tho.
The game looks amazing, I remember a friend had this when we were kids. I never played it myself, but I had heard so many great things about it. Also, it was cool that it was a Swedish production. I remember reading about it, around that time, that it had more written voice lines than several movies would normally have, or something like that. That it had a great story, acting, and all that stuff.
Damn this looks good. I must have missed this somehow when it came out.
the Soviet first mission is simply pure spectacles it's amazing!
Russian Invasion of Seattle:
- Initially gains massive ground
-Bogged down by poor logistics and planning
- Partisans expected to cooperate
- Stopped halfway through Oregon by the national guard
- Stunning American victories turn the tide of the conflict overnight
Russian Invasion of Ukraine
- Initially gains moderate ground
- Bogged down by poor logistics and planning
- Partisans expected to cooperate
- Stopped halfway through Kyiv Oblast by the national guard
- Stunning Ukrainian victories turn the tide of the conflict overnight
If they make another version of this game, I definitely play it.. Fucking awesome game
I still think about this game all the time. Alec Baldwin was an incredible choice for narrator.
Almost 11 hours of amazing gameplay!, those were games!, not like now where we get 3 hours of mediocre gameplay for 60$ or more
Not to mention an expansion with single player campaign and multiplayer maps as well, games just aren’t the same as they used to be.
The times when russia haven't started the war yet and no one knew they are paper tiger
OMG !!!!! I didn't expect you to be here GPS 😮 !!!!!!!!!!! I gotta tell you, those Call of Duty gameplay videos of you were awesome 👍.
@GamePlayShare paper tiger is atleast holding out against a nation that is #15tg on the military rank and is backed by like 40 nations, remind me now,who backed afghånistan and vietnåm?the help that was given to vietnam was minimum, there was no help to afghanistan, yet your paper tiger america couldn't do anything againt them.
5:12:00 Colonel Sawyer: Bannon you goddamn cowboy you are to return to the commandant
This game is so relevant right now
How
@@michaljon1963 Take a guess
@@OhyeahMrKrabz idk there's no Soviet Union Vs NATO war
@@michaljon1963 There will be, but there's a thing called MAD and Russian is focusing on Ukraine so far.
The Russian is inadequate and outdated for modern conventional war.

Best military strategy game of my childhood, the gameplay and graphic still hold up very well until now 2023 😂😂
My favorite RTS campaign ever!
No offense, I love how you play, and this is a beautiful game that you have made a lot of people discover and rediscover and I love that...
But holy shit, get your infantry out of the transports when in combat PLEASE xD
Bro the explosion is so satisfying to me
Imagine how differently things could've been if Russia actually performed this well in Ukraine. That would be a scary thought.
I hate that Colonel Orlovsky was murdered by his own nephew; he kinda seemed like a nice character (I mean Orlovsky).
Soviet Union: for the motherland!!!
USA: Oh hell no!
"This is Zvezda" 😎 and the Music is so perfectly fitting.
4:33:39 Rocket artillery hits a Russian heli transport, nice
I loved this game back in 2009 what a pity it did not get a sequel.
Some didn't laugh...They have been to Afghanistan...They knew war..
meanwhile the Chechens "where's the civvies at?"
@@AFGuidesHD Doesn't this game's ost sound very ominous nowadays? Crazy to think in what world we live in..Funny thing is,i beat wic for the second time a month or two ago..
But yet... they never learn.
still wishing another game would come out like it with such a gripping campaign. wondering if warno or broken arrow will scratch the itch. maybe the new C&C if it's not too silly and more like Generals instead of whacky Tiberium whatever
3:28:58 when you and your friends found a people where they said unicorn gundam are transformer or a giant robot
This game deserves a remaster!
Can you do an EndWar Full Game Walkthrough?
No World in Conflict 2 is needed now as we can watch it in the news.
We cant watch it in the news?
We can watch a fictional scenario on the news?
The War for Burger Town- The single bloodiest conflict to be fought, just for a damn fucking burger and fries.
I like replaying this every year
hat's off to private Doe, lugging his brass balls all the way to the Seattle harbor
😊Nice game play man and peace the world and this game like command and conquer game.
thanks 🙌
Fight for peace and freedom.
I remember playing a demo I think that was the pine valley level and I must’ve played it 10 times over wishing I had the full game so thanks for uploading this for me
this game was so demanding, a great rts of his time.
The artillery is the best thing in this game, I like explode everything
We need a remaster of this game
Really loved playing this game :D
i thought the online multiplayer was perfect
really wish someone would pick up the licence or just make a clone of the online game
If they made a second game, they should make maps in south America, Africa, parts of Asia and Oceania, It would be great
do peeps still play this game i used to love this game , on 10 vs 10 or was it 5 vs 5 i forgot . also battlefield 2030 or something like that with the mechs and emp guns. was amazing.
WiC official multiplayer got shut down a few years ago, but some modders have managed to bring it back up.
If that was 1989, the most Lethal tank wouldn't be the M1 Abrams, it'd be the M1A1 Abrams.
Had us in the forst half not gonna lie
amazing game i can't get it on steam though.
you can get it on gog
@Tiananmen Square Massacre 1989 Free TibetHong Kong google it
This seems like a good prequel story for metro tbh.
the voice of the narrator at the beginning reminds me to the Moorehead rides again radio show from vice city
the maps look a mix between command and conquer and city skylines
Very good game, ahead of it’s time too.
man i have this game for PC still. do i have to build an old computer with old parts in order to play it again LOL
The game should have USSR and US campaigns for separate all the way until full conquest
3:51:49 B-52 Pilot: this is Six Pack we're dropping our payload take cover down there
It's good to have infantry to escort the APCs and hide them in the tree line to decimate tanks btw (E.g.; 1:38:45). And how comes you don't like using smoke? It helps preserves your units. BUT GREAT GAME! NOSTALGIA!
4:19:05 I had trouble with that side mission as well...didn't know you just had to capture the area to complete the mission XD
If the civillians cant be in the in the army nor drafted they’ll draft themselves into the frey
I remember bannon !! . hehe.. hm i know i have this game on dvd someplace.. if not.. steam seems to not have it... grr
awesome game. good time.
Why isn't this on Steam? It's awesome!
no idea, but its on gog
this game was on steam but for some reason ubisoft tock it a way from the store
@@bernholtz1 ......Their.....mistake.
@@bernholtz1 From what I heard the Steam version was buggy af and had to be removed from the store.
@@currahee1782 That would explain much actually.
man this game had an awesome campaign its a shame that the multiplayer wasnt so impressive
1:16:12 wow I've never seen the B-52 bomber drops the bombs at the bridge
This game, Company of Heroes and Age of Empires 1. The RTS trifecta. Honorable mention, Dawn of War.
Character bannon is a son colonel Sawyer and captain malekchenko it grandchilren call Sovkor 1 uncle.
i like your content
If there was the another world in conflict soviet assault but this time, American Assault. That'd be pretty badass
Can someone suggest me more games like this?
I wish Soviets spoke Russian in this game, every Nation should speak its native language, whether kids could understand or not, regardless of game chosen language.
Maybe there's a mod for this.
Yeah would've been more badass if the Russian talked in their language.
INCREDIBLY REALISTIC!! WOW!!
6:26:33 Colonel Sawyer: damn you and your incompetence Bannon there's only one sub left
why nobody want to remake this game..😪
and Red Alert 2
They remade it, in Ukraine.
