10:17 Schull is pronounced Skull. Lolz. 14:25 is Barleycove. I live in Co. Cork myself and never tire of these views. I try to get there once or twice at least each year. West Cork and West Kerry are heaven on earth......when the sun shines.😊

@v70z650 just back myself from a 2 week trip of the Inner and Outer Hebridies. Weather was atrocious and I was in a tent to make matters worse. Grim, but I really enjoyed the scenery. I'm done with the rain though, Spain and Portugal in '25 for me I'm afraid.😂
Thanks for the great memories. I did a solo counterclockwise version of your trip last year over 8 days on a rented bike, starting and finishing near Belfast. I've ridden in lots of countries around the world (I live in California) but for some reason that trip is one of my all time favorites. What a beautiful country. I look forward to the next episode. Ok, for when you go back, let me pass on a recommendation I got from the guy at my bike rental place. On the north east coast, seek out the "Torr - Cushendun" road. It's a little off the beaten path but worth the effort, especially on the clear blue sky day I had. Again, what a beautiful country. Cheers.

Thank for the comment. We loved the roads on the West Coast of Ireland. We had a mixed bunch of bikes - mostly adventure / dual-sport but also a Yamaha FJR1300 sport / road bike. Many of the roads along the WAW were narrow and twisty (just as we like them) but nothing too narly for any of the bikes. There were several mountain passes which were spectacular and stunning coastal views everywhere. All frantastic. We are going back to complete the northern half of the WAW next year.
just watching now ...i live in Clare and i still haven't done the trip myself...only bits here and there.....but during the summer after the TT i'll be getting my s..t together and get more done...by the way at 9.50 its an irish name and is pronounced as"skull" lol.....
Love the video of your tour; I'm planning to ride some of the Wild Atlantic Way this year. What month was this filmed, asking to judge weather conditions 😳 🤔
thanks for the kind words - always gratifying to know that people enjoy the vids - we did the trip in early June 2023 - we actually had pretty good weather (with a few clouds and just a bit if rain) - pretty warm the whole time - although the locals did keep saying that was unusual! - hope that helps!
The white and blue Africa twin is beautiful but being a short arse I don’t know is it just too tall a seat height for myself with a 30” leg🤔 I have a cbr fireblade great bike but just a bit limited for luggage and gets tough on the wrists after 1.5 hour or so in the saddle😄Would love to add a more practical touring/long distance bike to my collection just they all seem to have seat heights that are for 6foot guys and girls 😄
Reply from Rusty (Africa Twin): The bikes do look massive on the center stand. I’m 5ft 9” with a 29” inside leg and the bike fits perfectly with the standard seat on the low setting. You can also buy a lower seat that a few of the shorter people buy from Honda just has a bit less foam. I love the the bike and as a long distance fully loaded bike it’s great. The bike is the DCT version and with it on sport 2 mode changes gear at tidy times. Don’t discount the DCT it if you’re suffering from old shoulder or wrist injuries. 🤙🏻

So you’re very similar height to myself….think I might look into a AT myself and maybe make a purchase over the winter to have it for next spring/summer. How do you find it on fuel,i know from the 1000cc fireblade she is thirsty enough I’d imagine the twin cylinder is hopefully easier😄
@@Eirehunter22 I’m the one with the Africa Twin. Yeah it’s not bad to be fair about 52 ish to the gallon loaded up. Obviously depends on how heavy you are with the right hand!!😂. But some people have reported up to 60 to the gallon but I wouldn’t get there if you know what I mean! 😂
