Went on a 10 game unbeaten run with this and after back to back relegation I got promoted from division 4 to division 3, good compact formation. L1 trigger is essential and you can always trigger the full backs to bomb forward as and when it’s needed to supplement the attack.

Just tries this and it literally just changed my game...i was always a 433 4 player hated 4231 but wow had a quick try won 3 on the bounce and defence was amazing... Ive watched a lot of these but this is the only one i find made such a difference..... Huge respect

Yea don’t use 352 in this fifa. Any team w decent wingers w speed are already OP, let alone w 352. Highly recommend this guys formation, but with higher depth and offense on balanced and direct passing. Obviously do whatever works for you, but that’s what I use and I’m in D1 and have only lost three times (one of them I didn’t realize I left get forward on for too long).
Great tactics neal. Saved my weekend league. Was 3-5 and playing some good players and struggling to be solid enough and attack. Finished 12-7 and I couldn’t be happier. Probably left 2 games out there too with my own mistakes. But I’ll take it. Great job as per

Your CAM in 4-2-3-1 is like your Second striker in 4-4-2 , and with the 4-4-2 if you don't want that hole in the midfield you use 4-4-2 holding with one CDM on stay back while attacking with the other on balanced attack though the 4-2-3-1 becoming 4-5-1 makes it slightly better than only having 8 players come back on defence
My formation of 4-1-2-1-2 narrow works perfectly but the insight you gave on this tatic/formation was pretty good. I might give it a go just for the heck of it
Hi, I am new to Fifa 22 and have a quick question, I am playing Career mode with my created player in the team Real Madrid. So I don't think Career mode allows us to set formation other than the club's default formation right? (I wasn't able to find a way to substitute other players as well so it felt a bit crippling not able to get a hand on formation or substitutions) Do let me know if I miss out anything. Thank you.
This is one of the best tactics I’ve ever used on this game. You feel in control in both attack and defence and with the manual one twos with the wingbacks overlapping, it’s crazy effective in attack. Thank you for this video you legend!
I tried the last 4-2-3-1 with your custom tactics and did 4 losses in a row.... Struggling in attack... Players always out of position.... I was wondering if they run when i push the r2. I changed almost everything on balanced , players in the box on 7 and suddenly everyone was playing like a beast.... I think the fifa players should look more at your tactics rather than the pros and youtubers tactics. This finally took me off my bad momentum in fifa. Really appreciate you take the time to explain how this works and what happens this and that. Cheers mate and keep it up
I found this formation very dull while attacking. Yeah it will hold up and not concede, but attacking with this is so tough. Over that, not fun to play at all I found Auzio's 4 3 2 1 much more fun and attacking as well. This one should be to protect your lead at the 80th minute
Yeah i think the main reason this formation is so good is because of how good defensively it is. But it is good at attacking if you trigger runs, that would be my advise use rb and lb almost every pass
See I tried this formation and just felt like it was lacking in attack. Like it's solid for sitting back and holding on to leads. But personally struggled with it getting forward
With one cdm on get forward? you are attacking with 5 attackers then, more than most formations, if you want put long ball on as you are probably rushing with slow build up play, using a counter attack system
Sorry if I misunderstood but the formation you're describing is for Ultra defensive or balanced? If its ultra defensive what's the best for balanced as I suck at this game online!

I think with respect, you need to watch some basic tutorial videos to not make mistakes, I am not saying this to be rude, but rather to be candid, this is more on the defensive end if you are losing 10 games in a row, its your fault, probably running out with your cb. Its important I say this beacuse if I dont you wont fix it, remember frustration = mistakes = losses

I noticed you put this set up as your Ultru Defensive game plan, but you also said you will play this plan most of the game, so shouldn't it be you balanced game plan? Also, do you have the other game plans for this formation please?
I've set this as my balanced gameplay and waw, amazing, more attacking power, whilst not neglecting the defense, cam are not as quick tired, amazing...
Its on my ultra defensive, but its just in that slot "ignore the Ultra defensive", they are just names, you can put a very attacking formation in the ultra D it makes no difference
@@NealGuides thanks for answering, I've been playing fifa since '2001, but only started to look in these tactics last year... it makes such a difference. I've been watching a few of the 'famous' other youtubers that give tactics and most of them are similar, but yours go that extra mile... like how to preserve stamina by certain settings, or cut passing lanes, not using free roam... it really does do what you say it would:p My game play is so much more under control, instead of losses I get more draws and wins now🏆 Just one final question if you have the time, would you for the diffrent game plays just use diffrent formations but the same tactics or keep the same formation all through but change the tactics to being more attacking or defensive( moving depth up and down, more or less players in the box....)
I agree, I have 65 and if you have pace in your backline. They will make up the ground I also train my GKS as sweeper keepers . This is my last line of defence if everything else goes tits up 🤣🤣🤣

How are you gettting 100 chem with an LW and an RW on the CAM spots? I can only get 4 chem that way on those players, even with a green link, which gets me to 98 chem.
@@Jaden2201 play a 443 at the start and get 100 chem with your wingers, then in game change it to 4231 and play your wingers in the CAM positions and they'll still play on 100 chem
3-5-2 is deffo good going forward and it's very good for top top tier players give it to a below average player or even average they will concede constantly
truth is, every formation i make is meta, im not even joking, there is a reason why my formations are so heavily respected, watched and help people improve and you can see the comments, 4231/352 every single year is most meta, its your choice to see what fits your style, you should be using the 4231 regardless as I mentioned in my tactical set up
Is this formation is 4-2-3-1? Or 4-2-3-1(2)? Because I have RM and LM players and they don't fit in at all...please help.....for the record RM is Sane and LM is Pulsic, my CAM is Havartz so his chemistry is good with both but please help as I don't want to lose RM and LM at all.

The fullback player instructions on the companion app doesn't have the option for "defensive position", is this something that can only be done on console?

Hi there, currently in div 2 rank 1,hunting for that div 1. I have been using 4231 since the start of this fifa and I find whenever I use tactics like get in behind/ forward runs etc.. I misplace my passes a lot thus I stick with balance but as you mentioned it does get very passive.. I don't know what to do tbh..
Try direct passing maybe? And try not to always do L1 where yu make your player do a foward run. Try mix it up and maybe do L1 so he pushes the defence line back, once the opponents player follows your run then press r1 to bring him back as a passing option. Once you do that the defender may follow your attacker back then you can do a quick 1-2 to get past him
Steff one of the 4-2-1 formation variants has the wingers as cams . If you can't find it . Let me know and I tell ya how . In formations you will see a 2 variants of this formation one has wingers and one has the wingers as cams .
Would you say it is better than the 352? At the moment 352 has been great for me just some troube when being attacked through the winds but nothing drastic

Your 352 tactics are still working wonders for me. 4231 never worked for me on previous FIFA’s, but I’m willing to give it a crack on Fifa 22

I feel like im so alone when my striker has the ball only 1 passing option that is often blocked and a kessie bullying you you have nothing to do
Try „offensive fullback“ over the d-pad and try building up over the wings. With overlapping fb this is really nice.
Me personally I like the 4-3-3 holding the best, the counter attacks are much quicker than 4-2-3-1. I also like the 4-2-2-2- formation

Honestly 4231 is just too peaky with players...Maybe with Longball, it can help to increase the attack but it's just slow for me
Try long ball, or balanced you probably play a bit too fast, counterattackingish, long ball should fix it!

Switch it in game to offensive where you have your settings but start with something that gives you full chem

Would you say it is better than the 352? At the moment 352 has been great for me just some troube when being attacked through the winds but nothing drastic

I am using LAM and RAM Coman and Sane, what is better: L: Coman R: Sane or vice versa?
Depends some people like to cross, other prefer to cut inside and shoot! Whichever you use the most

How do you get chem with that starting 11? It looks unreal but can’t get a reasonable amount of chem with it

You can position your players on that formation screen. I think you press y to do it
