    wishlist: 6k open gate,(support for internal anamorphic shooting), 3rd native iso, 12 or 14 bit video of some sort, floating point audio would be crazy. Then for the fx6 upgrade same specs but with internal nd.

    • @RandumbTech
      @RandumbTech  2 месяца назад

      Oooooh, I like ALL of that!! Esp the 32-bit floating point. Can't believe LUMIX beat Sony to the market with that feature in the new GH7.

  • @JeffBourke

    Off course it will be stacked. It 100% must be a stacked sensor to support that readout.

    • @RandumbTech
      @RandumbTech  2 месяца назад

      Not necessarily. But I suppose anything is possible. Perhaps they will use the stacked sensor from the A9ii?

    internal ND's would change the handheld mirrorless industry

    • @RandumbTech
      @RandumbTech  3 месяца назад +3

      I don't think the A7Siv will have an internal ND, but it's possible that the FX3 ii might. It's currently reserved for the FX6 and higher and I don't see that changing anytime soon. There is an FX3 firmware update coming soon that at least gives us shutter angle so that's a start!

    • @temuerasamuel
      @temuerasamuel 3 месяца назад +1

      Fair enough.. I know it’s not impossible as the Fuji-film X100v had internal ND’s.. I shoot on the BMPCC 6K pro & the internal ND’s are one of the big reasons I can’t leave em.
      if Sony or Panasonic incorporate it I feel a lot filmmakers/videographers/content creators would drop what they have to get on that system..

    @BrianCatalano 3 месяца назад

    Yes, on all these points! After seeing Canons C400, I am now more confident in the ability to increase resolution while maintaining that dynamic range. I know the sensor tech is very different but I think 6k has to be the new standard across for video along with great lowlight sensitivity. Here's hoping!!

    • @RandumbTech
      @RandumbTech  3 месяца назад +1

      If dynamic range is within a stop of A7Siii and it offers uncropped 6K60 open gate, it will set a new standard for mirrorless tech. I think it's going to be announced way sooner than people realize. Sony has been waaaaaay too quiet!

      @@RandumbTech I think you might be right (as well as hope)... I was at CineGear today and watched a presentation about the Sony burano and they were all being really cagey about that camera still too. It's hard to explain but I get the sense that maybe multiple cameras are being tested behind closed doors as we speak. The fx9ii and fx6ii should be ready as a retort to the c400 as well

  • @hasenmyer
    @hasenmyer 3 месяца назад +1

    my goodness I hope you are right. also I hope it comes with shutter angle, waveforms, and anamorphic supports so I don't have to listen to people mention it anymore. They will have to cripple the photo specs (I assume no mechanical shutter), otherwise it's the only camera they will sell. Could be a potential GOAT camera is Sony goes all in.

    • @RandumbTech
      @RandumbTech  3 месяца назад

      If it doesn't have a mechanical shutter, that sensor readout speed better be quick. I've tried using my FX30 as a stills camera occasionally and it's just not good with the electronic shutter. I doubt it will have any video specific assist tools - they will save that for the FX3 ii so that they can further differentiate the two. The only thing I've used is Zebras that's more than enough for the average user.

    6k open gate hahaha! Panasonic have that almost 2 years ago and its less than a half price of sony....we need more. The only thing that really change sony would be a internal real raw recording. But i think if they not have a new sensor, its no make so much sense to release a new a7s for that prices

    • @RandumbTech
      @RandumbTech  17 дней назад

      Yes LUMIX (and Fuji) have had 6K open gate for a few years now, it still hasn't come to Sony yet. I would bet my next paycheck that the next A7Siv will have 6K open gate. Very few people record in raw format because the files sizes are HUGE. Unless they can somehow compress the files internally, I don't see that happening anytime soon.

      Not necessarily. I don't think a lot of people cross shop BlackMagic and Sony - but I could be wrong. Sony can absolutely command a premium at this point given their performance and reliability edge compared to the competition. They price their gear just high enough where they can put it on sale occasionally and generate a bunch of new orders.

      I can totally see them using that older sensor. Fast readout speed and right MP. Personally, I prefer having a built-in EVF. I actually sold my FX3 yesterday because I've been using the A7Siii so much more. I'm glad they offer both though.

    There is no point in updating the S line. TODAY cameras can fully downsample rather than use low res sensors.

    • @RandumbTech
      @RandumbTech  2 месяца назад +1

      12MP is not enough for 6K open gate so it needs at least 20MP+. The S line is one of Sony's best selling cameras - there is no way they don't update it.
